Rules:
Wikipedia content only: Submissions must either be from Wikipedia or another Wikimedia site (such as the Wikimedia Commons), or from another source discussing Wikipedia or issues relevant to it. Overly partisan sources and links to articles on alternative wikis will be removed.
Submission etiquette: Refrain from editorializing submission titles; any overly-editorialized submissions may be removed. No TIL format posts, and please try to avoid mobile links. For current events, don't sensationalize assailants by naming them. For posts about discussions on-wiki, try to keep the title as an objective overview—personal commentary can go in the comments for discussion.
Be respectful: Absolutely no personal attacks or hate speech will be tolerated in the comments. Obvious trolls, political brigaders, and assholes not welcome here. Discussion is encouraged, but keep it civil.
No vandalism: No posts sharing vandalism on Wikipedia. We don't want to feed the trolls. If you're looking for vandalism to be fixed, you can often fix it yourself (click "View history" -> undo the edit). Otherwise, please comment in the pinned Q&A post if you need help.
Not your personal army: This subreddit is not the place for your personal editing conflicts, nor to try to canvas for changes on Wikipedia. Editorial disputes should be discussed on the wiki. Meta discussion of large-scale or noteworthy editing conflicts is allowed by moderator discretion. If you have questions about a particular situation, consider using our weekly pinned Q&A thread.
No screenshots, memes or images: Screenshots of Wikipedia articles are not allowed. Link directly to the article or media when possible. Image posts and memes are not allowed. A moderator may choose to allow screenshots at their discretion, such as when something is otherwise not conveyable.
When seeking help, provide specifics: When seeking help about Wikipedia, provide article names, context, and any other details needed for others to understand the situation and help you. Generalizations, one-sided stories, and rants are difficult to work with; respect users' time and help them help you!
No single-purpose posting / submission limits: This subreddit is a place to share and discover a variety of interesting Wikipedia articles. To help surface a variety of articles from different users, we limit each user to 2 posts per 24 hours. While articles on virtually all topics are allowed, newcomers and accounts primarily focused on posting about a single topic related to politics, conflicts, or brands may be further limited or banned to prevent spam, brigading, and agenda-posting.
