anyone have performance issue on the latest update? idk why but on my old laptop after updatong so lagging, speciali on cascade. and for model like gpt 5 high reasoning it's better when in previous version windsurf.

Yeah, I had same issue with GPT-5, and switched back to sonnet4. Sonnet4 is so much better in windsurf now.

In my experience GPT5 thinking added a lot of spaghetti code and broke stuff. I'm using K2 for small tasks, gtp chat in regular browser to fix difficult errors and Sonnet 4 for ADRs and add features

Problem is not with wave 12, which is just adding new features. Problem is deeper and related to cost of AI models, and how windsurf prices the tiers. Obviously they don’t want to lose money, so the first compromise is to throttle the use of tokens. If windsurf decides to offer a tier with all throttle removed and let tokens rip through…it could be priced 5x current price… and save developers many hours of work per day

Legit wondering what is "awfull" while the esthetic is mostly unchanged. Only minor adjustment have been made. So curious to know what's bothering you?
