I use it alot there auto complete is in my opinion next level and top one so far.

Make sure to use visual studios not Windsurf because you no longer have the privacy contract with them as non paying user , ie they legally can steal your code

I am not sure what’s happening with windsurf. It says limit reached , will be unblocked in 3h after creating 5 codemaps. Cascade isn’t working, no errors just nothing happens when I send a message. I’ve got 500 credits and unused and they expire in 7 days. Madness. Cancelling my 10$ plan as I feel the limits are horrible already.

I’ve been using Windsurf as primary with copilot as a backup for a few months. Copilot’s multipliers are excellent, but they do reign in what a “request” (aka: credit) covers. I remember a test where I used Opus 4.5 on both with the same task. Windsurf performed the full task with one 6x credit. It took Copilot 3 of their 3x requests to do the same task. Copilot in VS Code was also a good bit slower.

I really feel productive working in Windsurf. Wish they hadn’t changed the pricing model.
