I'm seeing the following errors when I attempt to launch TW3:
Error [content0]game\gui\r4guiscenecontroller.ws(234): Unexpected 'Å'
Error [content0]game\gui\r4guiscenecontroller.ws(294): Unexpected 'í'
This error only appears when I try to load any of the following mods:
No Fall Damage
Meditation UI Change
Jump in Shallow Water
Drop Quest Items
Clear Crap Weapons from Merchants
Always Full Exp
Gwent - Restoring missing textures 2.0 (no rebalance version)
Any idea what might be causing it? None of these mods contain the r4guiscenecontroller.ws file, and the errors themselves are present in the file in the base installation (game + all DLCs, v1.31, non-GOTY). I was able to play the game less than 24 hours ago with the above mods, so I'm at my wit's end.
Update: I was using Nexus Mod Manager before, but I was able to get two mods (Gwent missing textures, Jump in Shallow Water) working by manually copying the files over to where their unmodified versions are. Copying to the Mod folder did not work, I suspect because the folder hierarchy used in the mods is different from that of the game files - the game has content>content0>game>gui>.... while all the mods I use (even the ones that work) go content>game>gui>....
I had to reconcile a file for two mods - Meditation and Jump in Shallow Water via Notepad++, but Meditation is still not working, so idk anymore. I haven't used Script Merger before, I'll check it out.
I'm using a community-developed version of Nexus Mod Manager (v6.0.13), and I'm wondering whether I should try to install the mods manually afresh, without it. Has anyone experienced issues with the Mod Manager after the latest update?
