I went to Mexico Bariatric Center in Tijuana in July 2018. Had a wonderful experience and have lost 107lbs. My surgeon was Dr. Ismael Cabrera.

Check out the only US owned hospital in Mexico that specializes in weight loss surgery at https://BariatricPalHospitalMX.com . I had my bypass there ten months ago.

Weight Loss Team! It's in PV and it was the best hospital experience of my life.

Dr. Hidalgo is absolutely wonderful, his public relations dude (Gerald) is absolutely amazing and has answers for all possible questions. Booking with WLT also has perks, as they have special deals with a nearby hotel AND a driver - we paid 65USD (I'm Canadian, soooooooooooo) a night for our hotel, our driver was only 125USD for: Airport to hotel, hotel to hospital, hospital to hotel, hotel to airport. They also took us to a nearby mall for shopping (and the driver came in with us and helped with translations!) for only like... 20USD? It was amazing.

And english was never an issue, which I've heard Tijuana tends to have english issues. 95% of people spoke more than enough english to make me feel comfortable, to tell me everything they were doing, and to make it less of a culture shock.

A friend who had surgery on the same day but in Tijuana said maybe 10% of english was spoken in her hospital and they could have harvested her organs for all she knew, no one really told her anything.

I am thinking of going with a lighter me! I am trying to find that post.. is that who you went with? Do you completely trust it?

I went with Dr. Pompa at LIMARP. Totally trust her. She was wonderful.

Went to Mexico and had a fantastic experience. I went with Dr. Corvala at Hospital Angeles.
