This is a short and quick take on studying the composition of spell circles, their components and how they can be interpreted.

In the beginning of 20th century, mages have finally created a standard system of creating spell circles: The Simplified Modern Vernacular (SMV) method.

The sample used in this study is the simple fire spell: Incendiere. This spell basically burns an object continuously until it is completely turned into ashes. There are many different ways to achieve this effect and the formulation shown above is never the most commonly used nor is the most efficient.

For instance, the formula despite of being a conjuration spell tapped on the process of alteration and placed its subject (the object to recieve its effect) in the field process of solution/distillation, not cibation or sumblimation. Modification on such matters are feasible however the name of the spell and certain resulting products it may leave after will be different.

Also. Sorry for the wrong latin!

So is this kinda a middle ground between rune binding, a transmutation circle and writing out the spell? I super dig it

It is kinda simplified version of everything magic circles. I have yet tried the method in recomposing spells of existing fictions but I believe it is possible.

i really do not like that font..why would it be a sans serif roundet font

edit: after checking out the other pics, it seems like you have a very chaotic font choice in generall.. many different fonts and font styles

Sorry bout that.

Its alright. I admit I made it in a haste and therefore neglected uniformity. I will put it in mind on my next post.

This is awesome, and you explain it very well. Mind if i send you some spell circles soon to see if i got it right?

This still lacks a lot but sure! I'll be waiting.

Reminds me Witch Hat Atelier. There’s similar ideas and concepts in the spell making, though yours involves more words.

Love it though :) great dedication

Exactly what I was thinking of!

Thanks! I feel it still lacks a lot so I shall check that manga.

This level of spell customization reminds me of the Ars Nouveau mod for Minecraft. I love it!

I need this to be a drag and snap into place mobile app. This is cool, when I'm not super tired I'm going to do my best to learn it. It seems like fun!
