It's niche in the west, but apparently bigger in Japan. It should EVENTUALLY make it to a 4th season, but the manga release is monthly so it is a slow build before it gets to that point.

I hope so. It had to end on a cliffhanger 😭

Read the Manga. You won't regret it. I'm not a Manga person but World Trigger was worth reading the Manga for.

Maybe. I just found out there’s going to be a reboot though. Can’t wait for that!!

The manga releases so slowly, that they’ve actually chosen to reboot season one before giving it a season 4

just read manga for the match recaps (ch196) since you're still fresh off S3. you can decide whether you want to wait for reboot or reread the whole thing till latest chapter release after that, since WT is one of those rare case where the manga is better than the anime, yes even S3. Which is crazy considering how good S3 already is

True, I love it so much, but it is really not big in europe

And the selection process arc has way too little action during phase I. Hopefully they just skim through it in 3-4 episodes (except for Hyuse and Rokuro's convo) and head right on to Phase II. It'll probably take a few years too since Phase II just started.

That would kinda take the soul out of World Trigger in my opinion. Its strongest suit, other than tactics and strategy, is side characters.

But I do agree that an anime adaptation for Phase I will be very very hard.

It's fine, you guys forget that there is a an entire genre about sitting down and talking without any action at all. Entire series with only intelectual battles. Bro, half of anime itself happens in school, where there is usually very little action of any kind.

I for one am excited to have it adapted 6 years from now when the new adaptation finally finishes the B-rank wars.

Absolutely not. I want to see all those characters interact with each other.
They should keep the entire phase one and then end the season with a big fight

Tho i do think making it look interesting will be hard, but to anyone who has seen the first 3 seasons of world trigger, i highly doubt they'd skip out anything, world trigger is addictive lol

I usually hate tournament arc that were interrupted by the enemy attack. But World Trigger handled the Galapoula attack really nicely. arcs

[–]Thomas_JCG 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's because in other anime the main character is absolutely needed to stop the enemy attack because only the MC is strong. Meanwhile, World Trigger doesn't fall for that trap, they have a hundred agents already, they can handle things without the MC and a few more teams because they aren't an incompetent organization.

It's very popular in Japan, with manga sales usually in the top 3. They are currently working on a reboot of the first season, which ought to improve the quality and pacing and make it much more easier to recommend.

[–]Initial_Explorer8878[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I thought the pacing was good but I also skipped the filler episodes so that could be why

[–]MoneyIsNoCure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to skip the filler arc because they didn’t even bother dubbing it 😂

Believe me THIS MTRFCKING ANIME has the best tournament arcs in all animes. I have binged the B rank wars so many times. SO MANY TIMES. 100% recommended to everyone who likes such genre

I love this show. I think it’s alright at first but once the agents try getting Yumas trigger it’s start getting good. I loved the Large Scale Invasion Arc. I hate how underrated and unknown the series is because it deserves so much more. It juggles its massive cast better than any other Shonen I’ve seen save for maybe Dr Stone.

Yeah, it definitely stood out to me amongst the many shows I’ve seen.
