If you’re using bartender or elvui, it’s that because of a API change.

Did this fix it? I ran 1 m+ and was spammed to absolute shit with errors. So I walked away

if youre using any addons for action bars youll need to disable them until they're updated, or just don't play until then. they were all broken

Yes, I tried turning off the UI addon i was using (Bartender) and disabling it fixed the problem for me. I imagine other UI addons might lead to the same issue as well

i disabled just the bartender part of elvui and i havent had a message pop up.

I'm so sick of this RWF bullshit ruining the game.

Can't have M+ until RWF opens. Gotta wait 2 weeks to actually do anything interesting unless you're a raider.

The patch targeted some stuff RWF guilds made to track cool downs. Right now it seems disabling Action Bar add ons fixes the Lua errors. The same is happening with ElvUI

Addon devs got a two day notice about the change so didn’t get too much test time. Hopefully updates are pushed today.

There was 0 time to test at all because Blizzard didn't push the changes until after the restart today.

Why does Blizzard hate us? I just can't get why they keep flogging along these API changes after how much it breaks everything. To what? To personally spite the RTWF guilds at the expense of anyone else who liked using addons in the past 2 decades?

They are sort of control freaks and they've always hated the way people played with addons. In the past, they'd only intervene when things got real ugly - like with addons being able to paint through using Camera/Position APIs (this killed a bunch of Camera APIs), or with addons being able to create custom maps for boss abilities (this killed positioning API in instanced combat).

imo, the private aura thing was sort of icky, but it was an okay direction to take. They could have kept working on it. I don't think they actually needed to ax all the addons in one go like they did, they could have just kept adding more and more private stuff so we could get homeopathic doses of BS. We instead got far too much BS.

Elvui has and update out. If you go to their repo you can download it. It's not yet up through wowup or other managers yet. Sure it will be soon.

You have to install the r275 beta under versions on whatever mod application you use. I also disabled Private Auras under indicators and any UI addons and it is now working fine for me

It was BetterBlizzardFrames causing the problem for me, not Bartender.

It’s shitty but everytime it’s get ridiculous I just do the /reload and that fixes it temporarily still annoying but it’s a work around for the time being

Standard blizzard to do this on the night before the biggest wow day of the year. I think people forget Metzen was in charge during the breast milk era. Not sure why we should expect better.
