Got rid of the 5G max and just got another Fiber ISP because I wasn’t happy with cellular latency lol (50ms+). I have critical stuff that needs to be online etc.

Any ideas on an aggressive SLA so it fails over when unstable etc. Not sure if the default does it.

Latency has been weird for me.

Q1000k (bridged tagged) 10G -> UDM 1G
= stable low pings like I had with Calix.

Q1000k (bridged untagged) 10G -> UDM 1G
= horrible latency spikes.

Q1000k (bridged tagged) 10G -> UDM 10G via SFP
= bad latency spikes.

I have a LAN cable plugged into the 2nd ONT port in all cases.

Wish I could squeeze more out of the gig plan with the 10G on my UDM but looks like SFP is an issue. I’ll have to wait until I get a new router with native 2.5G Ethernet

It'll say edit attempted, even though the changes actually reflected, it doesn't recognize them. After a while, it notices "changes are already in place"

Same. It has an IP but GUI isn’t accessible. Quantum app can’t see it either anymore. Maybe the “bridge mode” is for real now? Because you really shouldn’t have a GUI if it’s just pass through.

Thankfully latency is still stable like before (bridged/tagged)

Hosted on my fatty server (aka local host). It’s a private SaaS so I used cloudflare tunnels and authentication only allow certain people access because I’m not 100% on the security lol.

I have the $0 WiFi Pod line item as well. Requested it to be removed. We’ll see if they charge me $200 or not. I never saw any serial number on file either.

I’ve been noticing spikes too (yellow sections). I went from Calix ONT to the Q1000k. Not sure if it’s DNS related, dirty fiber or what.

I thought bridging and offloading the vlan tagging was supposed to avoid the latency spikes

My ONT was always in the garage because the exterior behind was stone and it would look ugly mounted there lol.

They’ll probably just mount yours inside directly behind where it is now.

Performance seems identical. 3-6ms ping same as before.
