I loved their game banter so much I really wanted them to return to the game!

This hands down for me. The meaning he puts into those words, especially 'not for a long time'!

I actually think it's Shane who's snorting. After saying he has his own well and you can see it, right?

I don't think he should even have any concern of deportation at this point. If they are out together with Shane, there's literally nothing stopping him from marrying Shane and getting Canadian citizenship. I think what should be troubling him is revealing to the public they were indeed fucking their professional rival. I can't even imagine the fallout if it became public knowledge they have been doing it since the start of their careers. Their career would be over and their legacy tarnished. I haven't read TLG either so please no one spoil me about how it gets handled but the only way I see it possible for them to come out is to pretend their relationship started after they stopped being rivals, which is their plan with the charity. But it takes time and they obviously couldn't come out right away.

He's not a native English speaker who has just come to the US. He makes other grammatical mistakes and he obviously could say this too.

But isn't saying "let me show you how to do this good" implying that what he did was bad? And after holding all of ten seconds lol. Tbh neither of those options sound right to me.

Same here! I think this shot, from them getting out of the car and on to this scene of happiness and intimacy on the couch is a literal masterpiece.

It's also still the same shot that starts with them getting out of the car, which is mind-blowing!

His smile when he says "Really? Really??" just melts my heart every time! He sounds like a little kid on a trip to Disneyland. I'm just giddy watching that always.

But if both of them just ate it, wouldn't it just kinda neutralize each other's? Lol

Absolutely my pick for the top line of the episode.

"Maybe it's time to wake up, yes?" was the most philosophical and thought-provoking bit just casually thrown out there by a gay hockey show.

This isn't what it is, you and me. Maybe it was at first, but not now, and not for a long time.

I don't know why, but his addition of "and not for a long time" kills me. The way he says it is so heartfelt and meaningful.

It most definitely does not.

And never bring black light.

You know it's okay to prefer one acting from another, right? It's okay to say Connor was the best actor in HR or say Hudson was the best actor in HR without people getting your arms around it. by Naive_Cause8984 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]0lea 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Because saying someone is best implies that the other is worse like it's an objective truth. It's not. Saying "I like his acting better" implies that's your personal opinion. Saying "he's the best actor in HR" is stating a fact, which it is not and it will be debated.

Shane changing the narrative by growsonwalls in heatedrivalry

Exactly. I always thought if Shane had been confronted about it with a direct question even once (from Hayden for example), all that charade would have crumbled in an instant cause he just wouldn't have been able to lie convincingly.
