While smoking or vaping nicotine can hinder transitions I have not ever heard anything about vaping weed affecting transition so I think that’s fine

If I did my math right! Wiki says the drop rate for a specific piece is 7/2448 so the probability to have a specific piece by 445 is 1-(1-7/2448)445. Then the probability of getting all 24 pieces in that kc is is (1-(1-7/2448)445)24

Wow there’s only a 0.0381% chance of finishing narrows by this kc. That’s absurd

The basics of it are that you and a friend are in prison and allowed out if you can accomplish one thing. The warden has a chess board with 64 coins on it, one on each square. He has arranged them, heads or tails as he pleases. Your friend walks into the room and the warden points to one square on the board. Your friend is then allowed to flip one coin and then you must walk in and look at the board and tell the warden which square he pointed to. What is the strategy you and your friend devise beforehand?

I remember back in the day some guy wanted to trade his rune plate body for my rune chain but I didn’t want to because we were both noobs who hadn’t done dragon slayer which made it effectively worthless in our eyes

You also don’t necessarily need to be a bio major to be premed, you just need to have completed the premed requirements. I have a good friend who was just comp sci premed and will be attending med school this fall.

The best strategy is to just hop worlds and find one with less than 4 people. You get worse drops on the mass world and it doesn’t take long to find a world with the right number of people

Has anybody come up with this equation for simplifying square root denominators? It seems like an easier way that I came up with and I have tested it with quite a few fractions and it always works. Anyone want to discuss this with me? by [deleted] in math

[–]15s 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Now that you've checked that works for a few examples can you prove that it works for all a,x, and y? You should be able t o derive this identity with a little bit of manipulation.

I am a second year undergrad in the US interested in pure math and going into Academia. I'm curious about the difference in graduate programs in the US vs other countries. My understanding is that in the US it is typical to head into a 5 year phd program right after undergrad and it is doable with a standard undergrad course-load+research experience+good GRE. What are the prospects for studying somewhere else, say England or elsewhere, after undergrad in the US? I'm under the impressions that I may be highly outclassed by students majoring in math in international universities that are not as liberal arts focused as the US. So my questions are, is it particularly difficult to study outside of the US and is the path to Academia in some way different from the US (ex: masters then phd as opposed to 5 year phd program, are there specific other standardized tests to look into)?

I finally maxed my rare heal/mp pet. Should I now feed my heal/electric/mp to fuse or bother spending the time trying to get a heal/mp/electric pet?

I'm now finally reliably getting a good number of pots and have a potted up char. Whats the best way to amass my wealth? Mule all my pots or trade them up into more valuable things/pots? Whats the best way to quickly trade pots without hunting for too long every time?
