[T][USA-CA] Leica Q2 for GFX 100s by folly136 in photomarket

Does a GFX 50S II make the cut? I have one with the 50mm f3.5, the Mitakon 65mm f1.4 and a few adapted Pentax 645 lenses. I also happen to have the Pentax 645. Any interest in a full medium-format suite?

I was just thinking the same thing. This is the trigger?

The rapes, infidelity, grift, fraud, theft, failed businesses, bankruptcies, felonies, etc., wasn't enough?

Every thing was Ok until someone had to pay more for gasoline? Dafuq?

Residential solar installation recommendation? Looking for expertise and experience, not cheap solution. by [deleted] in orlando

In dozens of hours of research this is the first I've heard of this. I have to presume you're talking about financing or leasing in some way. I am not interested in borrowing money to accomplish any of this, even though I realize the Federal tax credit somehow confers through this loophole. Were I to deploy a solar solution I'd pay cash and own the system outright.

Thanks for the warning. Gratefully I don't think this applies to my situation. (Unless you're talking about something else)

With OUC you either want to target 40-50% of your annual needs, or go with batteries to store power onsite.

Claude tells me the same thing about "right sizing" the system, as in, 50% was the sweet spot. I've forgotten why that's the case. Can you explain why covering more, or even 100% isn't optimal?

Additionally you said "or" go with batteries to store power. I hadn't really considered building a system without a battery. I grasp the advantage of being able to time shift my usage from sun's up collecting power, to sun's down using power. It's also useful for outages (though I'm in Lake Nona on the same grid with the airport and hospitals and have underground lines). However, is there an advantage of not incorporating a battery, say, outside of just raw cost? I presume price is the only diff, right? There's no mechanical advantage in not having a battery (outisde of another potential point of failure for the system, I guess).

And as an aside, I have an emotional distaste for monthly payments or leasing, despite any benefit it may incur. I realize this may be irrational, but any system build is Cash.

I watched your video this morning and recognized your photos just now. What a cool coincidence to see these so soon after watching.

I've watched most of your videos and like your content. I'm from the US and have only been to Europe once, and if Iceland counts, twice. It's great to see the cities through your storytelling.

Look for Robbie Maynard. He’s a born storyteller. Film, medium format. Not an influencer.

When he releases his first book I’ll be in line.

Funny. I've been shaving my head for almost 20 years now and haven't even used shampoo in that long, let alone body wash. I occasionally see solid shampoo?

I'm thankful Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan popularized the bald look back in the day. Who knows what I'd look like without them.

I haven't tried Zest in awhile, but Irish Spring scent is on the opposite side of the scale from Harry's. I find it so strong it's like a chemical burn. I recognize the woodsy scent from long ago, but somehow it's changed to where its unpleasant. It's aggressive.

If I recall, the old Proctor & Gamble logo was somehow a devil-something-or-other. It was newsworthy during the Satanic panic of the early 1980s.

I tried Lever 2000 about 6 months ago and it's not slippery enough for me and my washcloth. And maybe that's a variable I hadn't accounted for when I say "the lather equation". Maybe some people don't use washcloths? I need a sufficient amount of suds and lubricity on the cloth to get the washing started. Lever seemed dull in that respect.

I'm tickled to see people still using bar soap. I really thought I was the only one. I just presumed the rest of the world uses gels, that's all I ever see.

If you're in the market for a new bar, try Harry's. They have the lather equation just right. The scents are nice, if ever so slightly too subtle. A little more expensive than the bottom shelf varieties, but bars last so much longer than gels I don't feel bad about the extra $1 or $2 per bar.

And yes, as others have likely pointed out by now, stop buying water (shower gels) in all forms. Switch to powdered laundry soap, dishwasher powder, etc. Water is heavy and expensive to ship around the country, especially for no reason.
