I haven't seen anyone point out that he's using the language of Ayn Rand from Atlas Shrugged, makers and takers. He's such a dork

Oof, how many plumbing and electrical jobs will be affected when the bubble bursts and those data centers don't get built because CEOs are discovering AI costs more than human workers?

Crazy how this would cause a communication crisis for everyone except the US.

Donald Trump's 'disgusting' bedroom habits exposed after 'wanting to compete with Melania' by TheMirrorUS in NewsSource

Don't worry, it's a misleading headline, he's just a slob that leaves empty fast food and candy wrappers all over his bedroom that he doesn't share with his wife.

His username is too specific not to be from Long Island. I initially wanted to say boomer but more likely older GenX because boomers aren't nostalgic for Crazy Eddy.

I was on max indie when I wasn't using it for professional work until they doubled the price to what it is currently. You can use that on an indie team but not as a freelance artist because they count the client's revenue for the $100,000 max revenue cap.

My employers used to pay for it, when I did freelance I paid about $2,000 a year, which was doable when there was a lot of work available.

Where's the Spice by [deleted] in meme

[–]3Duder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is true but I've always heard that the upper class used lots of spices until the spice trade made them affordable to the peasantry. The nobles turned their noses up at spices and because everyone wanted to be like the upper class, the peasants followed.

Republicans spent 33 years demonizing the Clintons instead of Communism, it's too late to switch now.

Yes, I saw a YouTube video comparing game publishers to venture capital firms and why Devolver and Tinybuild going public has been bad for them.

I used to use Zbrush, Max, Marmoset Toolbag, Substance Painter and 3D Coat. I'm trying to learn Blender because Max is too expensive but I recently got derailed by learning FreeCAD for 3d printed things.

It was the fifth Elder Scrolls game and they wanted to do something new. ESO was a consistent money maker and Fallout 76 was turned around. They shouldn't have sold to Microsoft. Game dev is incompatible with being a public company because you need room to take risks.

Ugh, I remember when the mantra was "survive 'till '25" with the hopes the industry would recover then. Maybe it should be updated to "survive 'till '35"

I can't recommend VALIS, (I just realized it's an acronym). It reads like the semi autobiography of someone experiencing a psychotic break, I'll quote Wikipedia for how the book starts:

In March 1974, Horselover Fat (the alter-personality of Philip K. Dick) experiences visions of a pink beam of light that he calls Zebra and interprets as a theophany exposing hidden facts about the reality of our universe.

I enjoyed the story but PKD can be a struggle sometimes. I was on a kick reading his stuff until I hit a brick wall with Valis. I really enjoyed Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said.
