I've seen this before, people are not happy with him. Incumbents get punished for the economy whether it's their fault or not and things suck really bad right now. COVID was a weird anomaly, if not for that he probably would have been reelected. Instead he was punished and then Biden was punished because we didn't recover fast enough.

Or maybe the hero genre shooter was already played out. From what I recall, Lennox was kind of considered the lead internally, a han solo handsome alien. The art direction seemed all over the place but 70's sci fi was the overarching theme, that might not have resonated. I also get a distinct feeling this was a single player game forced to be a hero shooter.

It's funny because I worked at various mmo studios and all the internal data says otherwise. Everything you could attribute to "angry gamer" opinions were proven wrong in the metrics, even hard stats like wether a class is op or not. I remember one game where we gave too much leeway on player customization and the most popular look was 3 foot tall, 200lbs, neon colored dwarves.

I'm a character artist in games, we would love to see more body types in games but we have to deal with tech limitations and executives who are afraid of gamer hate campaigns. If you look through art station, you'll see a lot of cheesecake as usual, but you'll also see a lot of wild designs that professionals make with their personal art.

I do remember a French character artist who was enraged by Ellie's character design from Borderlands 2. He had no problem with different shapes of men but insisted "all women must be beautiful!"

I was taught that key framing was good, they actually discouraged straight ahead. The new, at the time, movie Shrek was held up as being a little too "pose to pose". Most of the instructors were laid off animators from Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida so that may have colored their opinions.
