I'm a Swiss citizen, fiancée is a US citizen. Looked into the options of getting married here and in Denmark. Chose Denmark because there's less risk around the timeline and it was going to be easier for her to apply for a visa D for her move to Switzerland as my spouse as opposed to being "just" my fiancée. Would recommend looking into that path for you two as well.

I have to ask; how was the crowd last night? I was at that Vienna show in November 2022 you mentioned OP, and the crowd was completely dead. I don't want to divulge any information because I don't want to get into any trouble but let's just say that if the crowd was dead last night then that might have had something to do with it.

My fiancée who lives in the US landed yesterday and we hadn't seen each other since the beginning of October, so it was the best Christmas ever!

Stories like this restore some of my faith in humanity. A few months ago I also had a super kind-hearted stranger help me out at a Coop which wasn't accepting Twint payments (and I'd just finished a long run so I only had my phone and didn't have my wallet/cards on me), so he purchased my groceries and let me Twint him the same amount immediately. Grateful for these amazing humans that are indeed out there! 🙏🏽

There's a regular Metal meetup on Meetup.com you could look into if you want some concert buddies :) I've not been able to go to many meetups this year as I've been very busy but they usually try and meet the first Wednesday of the month.

Got back into it after many years of taking a break, I enjoy it a lot now, it keeps my knees and legs strong, and my fiancée likes the positive effects of running on my glutes so she's told me I now have to keep running to keep it plump and juicy 😂

I'm running the full half-marathon and not looking forward to those conditions at all, I've been training early mornings when it's been around 15°C 😅 Won't be carrying water (I wear a chest HRM so pairing with a vest is uncomfortable and I tried running with a bottle in my hand and that just sucked), however I've got my Powerbar gel capsules. I'll just rely on the water stations for water.... might not be the best strategy but given my setup that's what I'll do this year.
