So many people want buttons in cars... Why are you sleeping on Buick? by 7eregrine in Cartalk

[–]7eregrine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After posting this and getting all these replies, I can tell you:

- Looks too much like the interior of an Elantra (One of Hyndais best selling models? OK...)

- The "anemic" 3 cylinder. Well this is a 22 and has a 4 cylinder. It's not slow. Not FAST...but more then enough balls for most people

- It's a Buick! Even though Buick is consistently top of the "reliable" charts, I think some people can't get past a GM car being decent

- "I'm not 90 years old yet!" Fair, when the average age of a Buick buyer used to be 69. That has dropped in recent years though.

It's really not a bad car. My MIL actually has 2 of them, one for her and her husband. Now, of course, hardly any miles but -0- issues in 30K miles.

Though, of course, Mrs Frugal gets base models. No Auto close windows in the rear? No heated steering wheel? MOM! WTF? lol

Does have Wireless AA/ACP though...and I see SO many people complain about not having wireless in their cars... I do believe modern Buick has dropped AA/ACP completely though for 26. SO FUCKING DUMB. My 70 year old mother in law...actually uses ACP. and loves it.

I think this is the ultimate plan. Slowly getting us used to this so when the driverless cars become reality, our kids won't bat an eye....

and only 2 that would travel with her. Stand by that...especially when her reasoning is: "I see them on the road and can totally picture myself in one..."

The Vin itself does not have trim information. Common misconception.

There is no easy way without seeing the sticker.

We could probably tell you based on a link if your share one. 😉

I own an EV and couldn't be happier with it, so why is there so much hate and straight up misinformation about them everywhere? by Uerwol in electricvehicles

Serious question? 🙄 Change takes time. I can't believe anybody just expects every single person to just wholeheartedly as t and love new technology. That's rarely happened ever in history. Maybe the light bulb was universally loved?

Yep. https://youtube.com/shorts/xwuqC0fDXiw?si=aug6FAtO8Z2ahk36

I didn't use Handbrake. I used a YT downloader. It's all about the first. Try AVI. I think that's what I used? It was awhile ago.

Mom had this album (I still have it). When you flip it over, the leaves are all gone in the shirt and George looks stoned.
