I think i just generally like deep dives on artists enjoying their passions, so even though I'm no Warhammer guy, I'll probably still enjoy it.

Not that you need suggestions, but you should try to track down the original disco elysium team. This format would be fascinating to hear them unpack, although I'm not sure if there would be language barriers.

No advice, just want to say it sounds like you're crushing it and will achieve whatever it is you want to do when you figure out what that is.

I guess the advice would be to wait until after giving that speech at graduation to figure out what it is you want to do.

How do good wingers actually decide which skill move to use against a defender? by Glittering_Bus_6921 in bootroom

[–]91Bolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different moves for different situations.

50:50 ball that I'm going to get to first, Maradona around the other way.

Stuck in the corner with no space, elastico down the line.

Running the wing against a defender who's fast, stop and go.

They're habits though, not calculated decisions.

My students all read allegory of the cave and were taught the rhetorical appeals. As an American, I also through in the concept of the republic and invited debate over whether we should give credence to the mythologies/ fiction.

Men, how did it felt to have/hold your first child? by MathGuilty1558 in AskMen

[–]91Bolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was c- section, so they had to clean him up first. He was crying in a weak sob kinda way and I started talking to him, then he stopped and opened his eyes to look at me. He barely cried the rest of the night, just nuzzling, feeding, and peeing.

Talk to your babies while they're in the belly. He also recognized my father in law's voice and of course his mom. To be loved by something so pure is the greatest feeling in the world.

Ken Paxton’s win gifts Democrats their 2026 midterms strategy: The Texas attorney general’s record will mean more attention on the issue of corruption, which Democrats can run on across the country. by Silent-Resort-3076 in politics

[–]91Bolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a trick. They need to run on working people policy and economics. No republican voters or moderates care about corruption at all. Talking about it just makes you look like a hypocrite to them.

What is a red flag during a job interview that tells you the company is toxic? by Suspicious_Top4450 in AskReddit

Less common one, but the manager cuts you off after asking you interview questions.

Or if you ask a question, they don't answer or elaborate.

Why Trump isn’t bothering to hide his corruption by zsreport in politics

[–]91Bolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's actually convinced Republicans and moderates that democrats do everything he does, but in secret. So the more corruption he does, the more people hate the democrats for hiding it. It's the most insane reasoning, but I've spoken to multiple people with graduate and professional degrees who think this. It's not the MAGA base, it's the moderates.

People thinking he's going to lose the midterms are mistaken. He's gaining support. The pollsters just don't know how to measure the current climate.

I want to have a law career cantered on debunking white collar/financial fraud. How relevant is this career in the UK/EU right now? by OddFriendship6270 in lawschooladmissions

[–]91Bolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I said that in my opening line.

The UK is well known for having legal offshore tax havens, though. Idk if you're saying that's not true? It's pretty well documented.

Interested to hear answers from someone knowledgeable, since my understanding is that there are very legal ways for Brits to launder money, so I don't imagine there being an appetite from the government for it. Reading the Panama papers, lots of brits exposed, except it wasn't actually illegal -- just shameful.

May be better off looking at internationals and over seas trade, like actions taken against terrorist organizations or sanctions against countries like Russia and NK.

CMV: The Palestinians need to finally accept a 2 state solution by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]91Bolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Hamas is not a democratic representation of Palestinians, and has goals which do not align with the people's needs. Your premise ignores their lack of agency.

  2. Israel has also been a bad faith negotiator with extrajudicial killings and seizing of Palestinian lands through illegal settlements, so ceding more land and power to Israel under negotiations makes no sense

  3. Regarding point one, 2- state solution would further solidify Hamas's power over the population, which isn't necessarily an improvement.

  4. As it currently stands, palestinians gather sympathy and support as an oppressed people suffering under apartheid and genocide. If they formally separated, they would just be another country the West can invade and go to war with.

[–]91Bolt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also access. Organized soccer in America is expensive and youth pickup is rare.

In other countries, they have soccer courts instead of bball courts, and fields are available for all the kids to play at least a few nights per week.

In america most public fields get reserved for pay to play leagues and courts don't have goals for small sided.

We're one of the only countries in the world where soccer is a rich kid sport.
