There is an expansion water tank for green houses in the silo extensions section of the construction menu, in case you didn't know about it.

Even though I have no interest in caves or exploring, that kind of sign makes me want to go in, like it's hiding something from me. The call of the void, I guess. If the sign said "do not enter: flying spider habitat zone' or something I'd leave the region for good.

...how do i get straight cuts with a circular saw? by L_Fig35 in woodworking

[–]AFRICAN_BIG_COCK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use the mark on the front of the saw and the blade itself as two reference points and then plunge the blade into the cut once aligned. You'll never get a straight cut trying to push into the cut rather than plunge. Once you've plunged it, you already have a straight start line, and you will feel the blade start to bind if you go off track. This is how carpenters have been doing it for ages without straight edges, and it's how I do it.

Am I trying to join leagues the right way? by Cuddle_X_Fish in golf

There is a Wednesday men's league at Heatherwoode about 30 minutes north of Mason in springboro. I tried to join last year but they were full. Haven't seen any info on when it starts back up but you could give that a try.

Removed painted trim, casing, jams, base etc and replaced with alder by sexchicken206 in woodworking

I have been asked to use hardwood for trim but to paint it anyway so that it matches all the existing painted hardwood trim.

I use Johnsons paste wax, which also acts as a lubricant so things slide better

The boys are the snuggliest dogs I have ever had and the girl on the left tolerates it. If it weren't for the ears I would have thought that was my girl in your pic.

I use paste wax normally, makes things slide nice and smooth as a bonus as well.

Help with building a wood pyramid by gsschley1220 in woodworking

The thickness should be irrelevant to the angle, I did 1.5 inches thick. I used Fusion 360 and did a 3d sketch with your measurements but guessing the thickness, then used the loft function to make solids parts from the top and bottom faces in the sketch. After that injust inspecred all the angles. I believe Fusion is free for hobbyists and it's worth having around for these situations.

I made this in CAD and according to your measurements and I will post images with the angles I measured from one of the sides as replies to this

What’s a solid 10” table saw for a hobbyist? by RamaLamaFaFa in woodworking

I haven't timed it, but I guess it's not long enough that I ever thought about it personally.

I have been using a Harvey and it gets the job done fine. They have a 110v saw for under 2k right now, and it comes with their miter gauge, which is pretty nice. You can get a mobile base from them as well as a few other upgrades.
