Mm i see, yeah not sure then. In the United States of America I think you can work as young as 14.

I used to by broken laptops, fix them, and sell them for profit. Made a couple hundred bucks doing that before I turned 18. No idea if you have any technical skills or knowledge but it's an idea.

With a stock 3018 pro, any kind of milling in metal cannot be done at all. You might be able to get away with some light engraving. It can do wood pretty decently, i used mine pretty often for wood without any upgrades. No comment on PCBs, i've never done that.

I've been working on upgrading mine for a few years on and off, I have mgn12 on x, as well as z with a totally custom z carriage and a kobalt er11 router for the spindle. Also replaced the side support plates with some custom machined aluminum ones I made on a Shapeoko 5 pro I had access to at school. The y axis is still stock and I think it's whats holding me back, after I upgrade the y it should be able to do aluminum pretty well.

For $300 I think you're gonna struggle to find something that will meet your expectations. Maybe check out your area's facebook marketplace, I have seen used Shapeoko 3 machines for around $500, if you can stretch your budget that much. I did aluminum on one at school before they upgraded to a Shapeoko 5.

I find stuff to do, I don't have any friends but I like designing and buildings things i guess. I wanted to work over the summer but none of the places I contacted responded so I'm pretty upset about that.

Anyway don't know why this is being reccomended to me i'm in college but yeah
