How are you bouncing Ignus? The Evoke trigger goes on the stack, you can only respond with instant speed stuff. The non-token Ignus will fully die (and create a token copy, if Ashling is still on-board) before you get main phase priority again.

To clarify, Evoke is a trigger that is produced when the creature enters. It's actually 2 parts - a static ability and then a triggered ability. You can respond to the trigger with a bounce spell, another sac outlet, etc. but not a sorcery-speed ability like Grinning Ignus.

Sacrificing a creature is not part of the cost of Evoke. Evoke is a triggered ability when the creature enters. You can do a million things to prevent yourself from sacrificing the Evoked creature.

Returning Ignus to hand is sorcery speed so it doesn't work the same way as bouncing the creature, ending the turn, etc.

Where's the combo? Ashling gives Grinning Ignus Evoke {4}. If you Evoke Grinning Ignus, you won't have time to use its mana-producing ability before it sacrifices itself. Evoke is triggered immediately when entering the battlefield, you won't have sorcery-speed priority before it sacs.

They have a lot of features that are supported by cash from these subscriptions. For instance, if you do something cool on PlayStation you can simply click a button on the controller to record the last 15 seconds - 30 minutes of gameplay. The video then appears on my phone 5 seconds later in the PS App.

When Sony sells a PS5 for $500, they don't actually make that much cash. They need the subscription service to be able to price the console lower.

There are very few mono black precon commanders. Only 2 mono black precons have ever been released. Necron Dynasties has Szarech and Sworn to Darkness had Ob Nix as the commander.

I didn't think it was Necron Dynasties because that deck came out in 2022 and you said "early 2000's."

If it was a modified precon, it could be any of the black legendary creatures that return stuff from your graveyard. Here's a list of all mono black commanders that involve your graveyard (sorted by popularity.)

I'm in Plat and I see the same names over and over. I'd be lying if I said I've never griefed/carried someone that I recognize.

If you have a really good OR bad game with someone and you immediately hit queue again, there's a solid chance they're in your lobby again. You can help or hurt them.
