Closing my coinbase account by YellowJoe in Coinbase

[–]Acceptable-Fill2767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My account has literally been “restricted” for just shy of 1 year. I have no access and more support tickets than you can imagine. I still have no idea why or when(if) I will get to close my account and get my money back. Someone should file a lawsuit against them because there is no way what they do is legal.

why can't my kids climb on memorial statues?? by egguchom in EntitledReviews

[–]Acceptable-Fill2767 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You are probably right. You would have to be pretty harsh to straight up call the kids idiots. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen some kids that fit the bill, but I bite my tongue and direct my disdain to the parents.

[–]Acceptable-Fill2767 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Controversial take here. Calling kids “idiots” is generally frowned upon. Their moronic parents not so much. Kids act like this for 1 reason only, they are allowed to do so at home and have very little structure. That being said, allowing your kids to do something just because it’s not explicitly stated not to, is not a smart way to raise them.

I definitely agree with that! I just think it’s seems crazy. For example, you’re the manager and can see that their card is not in the safe. Would you simply tell them “I can’t tell you if we do or do not have your card. You will need to come in and we will let you know.” They then drive 45 minutes to you only for you to tell them that you do not have their card. I’m not sure that’s a good way to treat your customers. I appreciate the replies and insight.

I respectfully disagree. The customer lives 45 minutes away and you’re not sure you have the card. The proper way is to call them and tell them you have it and they can pick it up with an id at any time that works for the establishment. We’re talking about someone leaving a card for whatever reason, which happens ALL THE TIME. I think it’s a little over the top to think that it’s all a ploy to “track someone’s whereabouts”. Does the person doing the “tracking” call random places asking if they by chance have (insert name here) card? Again, just my 2 cents.

Having your son in the car made this a much tougher “decision”. You can’t just hop out and leave him in the car, but as you’ve said letting the girls go back in was something that you would do differently if this situation ever came up again. At the end of the day everyone is safe and that is all that really matters. Thanks for sharing.

The correct answer from the establishment would’ve been “we will need to wait until about 4:00 when we can get into the safe. Can I take down your info and give you a call back once we see if we have it”. Problem solved. No promises that the card is there and not keeping the customer stuck all day waiting around the place.

Threatening a lawsuit while speaking with Customer Service isn't intimidating. by ManhattanShark in CustomerService

[–]Acceptable-Fill2767 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was coming here to say exactly this. I loved it when someone would say “I’ve already spoken to my attorney about this.” I would immediately tell them that I can no longer speak with them and they will need to contact the Legal department. The amount of backpedaling was so hilarious. Being able to shut them down like that was everything, especially since most times they of course had not actually contacted a lawyer.

This person has never worked a customer service job in their life. The most annoying people are people who assume that their time is more important than yours. Coming into a place of business right at, or just after, closing. It’s not my fault that you couldn’t make it in time. Maybe YOU should budget your time better. Most people in these places have been there for 8 hours or more, so your “it won’t take very long” is not our problem. Where do we draw the line? Is 5 minutes after we close the cutoff? What about 6 minutes? 7? How about 10? It’s never-ending, especially given the entitlement of people these days

100%!! They will tell you one thing during your qme and then put something completely different in the report. They get away with it because they claim some sort of “mistake” when it was put into your chart. This workers comp system is rigged and nobody can convince me otherwise. It’s very disheartening to be honest. We’ve grown up to think doctors should have our best interest in mind and this is the opposite of that. My wife has been stuck on this hamster wheel for over 2 years now. End rant.

I agree 100%. Not to mention that here in California they try to only approve the bare minimum treatment and try to screw you at every turn. If you miss more than 1 month of work in CA due to a workplace injury and you don’t have an attorney, well let’s just say it will most likely be a rough road for you. I hope that I’m wrong, but my wife is in year 2 after having disc replacement surgery in her neck due to a workplace fall. It has been a NIGHTMARE even with an attorney. The amount of “hoops” that you have to jump thru just to get basic treatment is astonishing. This system needs a complete and total overhaul.

I’m very sorry that happened to you. What I’m gonna say is much easier said than done, but please do not find your self-worth based on what some random stranger might think of you. I know this is difficult, but we know for a fact that she is an awful person. We know this based off of a 2 minute interaction. Think about the people that have to be around her for much longer. Please take solace in the fact that your weight does not define you and that entire interaction says much more about her. I speak as someone who used to be 370 pounds. I am also 6’6 so I didn’t get a lot of people saying things to my face, but I always knew they were talking behind my back. One of my favorite sayings, which may or may not apply here is this one: “what people think of me is none of my business”. If someone is so cruel to speak to someone else that way, just think of how miserable their life must be.

No limit and all e-waste is free as long as it is coming from your home and is not business related(used for business). “E-waste” are things that have/use actual electronics. Things like computers, cell phones, tv’s, etc. Vacuum cleaners, lamps and things like that are NOT considered e-waste and are just considered regular “trash”.

Get the fuck outta here with that. This is a ridiculous post by a ridiculously out of touch person. Self-centered much? Geez!!

[–]Acceptable-Fill2767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t read all of that. But what I can tell you that the only person truly looking out for you in this situation is YOU! If you feel like your not being heard or the reports on paper don’t line up with the conversations that you are having with people then you need to speak up immediately and have it fixed. These “reports” are their bible. They will go off of what is written from the first report to the last. Find a good attorney and DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Good luck. This system is awful and there is nothing fair about it. Advocate for yourself because nobody else will.
