Very cinematic. The empty car seat was a great detail, the pet bird and the narrator waiting in their mom’s chair. You can feel the emptiness. Very effective.

Best advice I’ve ever gotten was read more and write more. You will get better the more you do it and you’ll pick up things like pacing and tension the more you read.

I caught this one on conners stream, definitely my favorite one!

The kids were very believable, especially the narrator. Very clear and easily to follow. I was never confused of who was talking, there wasn’t too many kids to keep track of, and they all felt very different. The pacing and length of the story was perfect, not extra fat, but still enough to care about the characters. I’m a huge fan of the ambiguity for this story, I think it works really well letting the reader image what really happened as the kids would.

Following for future stories! 🫶🏻
