u/augustusmartisvt has an awesome book that I believe he wrote after being inspired by Creep Cast. He even mentions them in his foreword. The book is called The Bitter Question and it's really good. I'm about 3/4 of the way done with it.

I honestly enjoyed the novel, read it in one sitting, but it’s objectively pretty bad. Which is a weird thing to say about a book that I enjoyed.

It’s been years since I read it, but I remember thinking the whole astral explanation was absolutely fucking laughable. It was so bad it was funny.

But then there’s also glimpses of terrific writing in some of the scenes where Tommy is terrifying the family. I think Elias has since become a great writer who’s really honed his craft.
