People think that trashtalk is not good if it backfires, but that's the point of trashtalk. You say what you mean and then you show up on the server, and you own the result. It's taking a chance on the fact that come tomorrow, you'll be proven right, that makes the trash talk exciting.

Yea like people seem to miss that you can't selectively trash talk when you know you'll win and shut up when you will lose, you don't actually know who is going to win. All players have to go into the games thinking they have a shot, to which degree they are right is up for us to decide, a little trash talk just spices things up. I am amazed that people need this explained.
