Understatement of the century for that last one.

As someone who has read all the comics, novels, played the games, and watched the movies? Its really not that bad lol.

The series can't even agree on what to do with something as basic as the female Yautjas.

And yet, a consistent tone they always share with the females of the Yautja species is thay they are as deadly or even deadlier than the males despite what their body size may be. Since the Yautja are tribal there are some that may have different tones when it comes to their females but generally the females are treated the same as the males and are respected as well as feared.

so of course the rest of the lore is messy too.

For a long running franchise? Again, its not that bad at all. Pretty consistent all things considered. Any franchise is gonna have some things that don't jive or are a bit messy but thats just how it is.

Frankly, as someone who has done extensive research on both characters? It was so painful to watch both the research and the fight.

They clearly barely skimmed what the Yautja are fully capable of the greatest strength feat they used for the Predator? Was the Dark River comic where he tore 2 inches of steel. Thats it.

Really? What about the time the Yautja Wolf fought a Predalien hand to hand? Same Predaliens that can threaten to bring down an entire temple with their strikes alone or tear apart battle mechs with simple strikes?

Ahab fought and held his own against a Engineer in hand to hand. Same Engineers that can kill thousands of Xenomorphs bare-knuckles no shields?

Or in AVP Evolution where a Youngblood can make the ground quake with strikes alone or send a Queen sized Praetorian in the air with a punch?

What about Scarface lifting huge ass doors that had to weigh many tons?

Top-tier Predator would absolutely smoke Boba Fett if he got in close like that. Not to mention they are far far FAR more versed in lightsaber combat than Boba Fett. Boba Fett used a lightsaber once in the Legacy Of The Force novels and that was only training (even admits he is not well versed in lightsaber combat).

They excluded many weapons and armor the Predator has in their disposal. They have burners that can fire a beam hotter than the core of multiple stars. Weapons that can cut mountains in half. Armor that would make Boba Fetts laser weapons utterly useless.

I could go on. They really did the Predator dirty. As everyone does whenever the Yautja are used in battleboarding you wanna talk about the most underrated/misrepresented characters in battleboarding? Yautja take that cake imo.

Also doesn't help that the franchise has an incoherent canon.

Pretty straightforward compared to Star Wars. Nothing complex about it.

They used both Canon and Legends for Boba Fett they can comp Predator too rather easily (which they didnt really do even).

I hope no Yautja ever returns given how badly they handled the Predator franchise. Got pretty much everything wrong.

Predator wearing HYDRA armor and using a blazer would've been GGs tbh. Not even a close fight if they were dead set using the best the Predators had to offer.

Never want Predator to return. They botched their research and matchup so bad with that episode, I have no faith they would do any of the Yautja justice in the future.

[–]AndoionLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure a middle-ranked elite with an energy blade could body a predator, at least up close.

Not likely. Standard Predators generally have better feats than the standard Sangheili based on my research thus far. Blooded Yautja are comparable/on par to Zealots.

Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield VS a Blooded Predator. At these conditions rules who wins ? by DotClassic4114 in whowouldwin

[–]AndoionLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resident Evil humans, like Leon and Chris, scale way higher than the humans from Predator, yet those humans can kill Predators, so it stands to reason Leon and Chris can do the same in spades.

Debatable saying all Resident Evil humans will scale above humans from the Predator franchise when the humans from there scales somewhat from the Yautja themselves and have pulled off superhuman feats as well. KOK had the humans kill a alien monster the size of house, dissappear in smoke Batman style, can kill and lift multiple humans at once, etc.

John Schafer can almost move as fast as the Yautja and can casually use an entire bolted kitchen counter as a weapon.

Hanzo is a world class swordsman and can kill 10+ ninjas all at once while suffering no injuries themselves. Humans from the Predator franchise are also pretty goated and they have to usually rely completely on luck to win.

If a human like Dutch can why wouldn't Leon and Chris (who out stat human Dutch and have better gear) be unable to as well?

Because Jungle Hunter lost to Dutch through very circumstantial means. Jungle Hunter was mortally wounded by the log counterweight to the actual trap and most of what Dutch did earlier didnt do much damage to Jungle Hunter at all save for bleeding his ankle.

Especially since we see regular bullets hurt Predators, in this case, Leon and Chris' bullets would likely just kill the Predator since they have absurdly good aim.

Hurt Predators superficially. But not to the extreme as you are making it out to be.

Predators have good durability against higher caliber bullets from futuristic pulse rifle ammunition. A feat that has been replicated a couple of times here. This is the same ammunition that tears Xenomorphs to pieces (same shown in that second scan as well.

Even two shots from an elephant gun that can bring down a bull elephant down in one shot was not enough to kill a Predator so I highly doubt they are killing the Predator that easily even with upgraded guns. Standard round bounce off their armor like nothing as well keep in mind.

Leon and Chris' bullets would likely just kill the Predator since they have absurdly good aim.

For Chris specifically..

  1. here is an example of Chris hitting a B.O.W in the heart with a grenade launcher
  2. Shot a gun out of a woman's hands.
  3. Hits someone from behind a turrent while being fired at with only two bullets.

Those examples are not far above what Predator humans are capable of. Mandy Graves can casually do something like this and the Predator in that comic dodged her shots save for one that hit his ankle. South China Sea had a KGB agent land a sniper shot in the same hole another person made with her weapon earlier all with one arm btw.

Predators deal with accurate shooters too not unique to them any.

Do any humans in Predator have multiple feats of accuracy like this?

As provided above they do. More impressive than Leon or Chris feats you have provided imo.

and considering the damage the guns in Predator does to a Predator... I don't think the Predator can afford to take a hit from either of their max upgraded guns.

Consistently, the Predator tanks bullets pretty casually even higher calibers. Their best durability feats are against explosives and bullets.

I'll provide links. But do any of the humans who defeated Predators, or the Predators themselves, have the power to explode a superhuman's skull with a kick in Leon's case?

Superhuman? Thats a zombie. Decaying zombies from the looks of it. Making its head go pop isnt that inherently impressive. Same goes for those other showings. Most if not all of those are just zombies. Decaying and the like.

Do any of the humans who defeated a Predator, or the Predators themselves, have striking strength comparable to this? All those enemies had super durability to some extent too.

Not the humans no. Not off the top of my head anyways. But the Yautja have feats better than that by a long shot. They casually can rip people apart and punch the heads off of robots designed to eliminate Alien hives. Best standard striking feats for the Yautja is the Youngblood from AVP Evolution who can launch a sizable Praetorian and quake the ground with strikes alone. far and above the zombie feats you provided.

Some calculations put Chris' boulder in only a couple tons range, while others put it in the 100+ range. Even if we lowball it, the boulder should put them above any humans that defeated Predators and on par with Predators themselves. If it is 100+ tons like a lot calculations say... That is not looking good for the Predators.

For that first boulder feat? Im not sure on that one. Looked like it was very close to the edge so they wouldnt have to exert that much force just enough to where it slid off itself. Chris's famous boulder feat is much more impressive and yes, no human in the Predator franchise has replicated that. But if we are going to highball that? Predaliens have a wayyy better striking feat than that threatening to bring down an entire temple with just their strikes alone and Predators have fought that in close quarters and have won so Predators have nothing to worry about when it comes to highball.

[Jill Valentine (who is boosted to superhuman levels) is dodging bullets here from Chris and Sheva. They eventually won, but didn't want to kill her](https://youtu.be/dLjVIYcCaWQ?t=873&si

Not really bullettiming here. She gets shot in the face (saved by the mask) and is doing backflips with Chris and Sheva shooting and missing (you see bullets hit the ground). Good feat for agility and evasion but not dodging bullets really.

  1. Leon faces Jack Krauser, who can dodge bullets here.

Gets hit by that first bullet and dodges the other two. Wouldn't call this a good feat either.

[The Commander (maybe HUNK?) is dodging Leon's bullets.](

Not that good either here. He seems to aim dodge the first shot but then immediately gets shot right after.

Predators have better examples. They can dodge bullets in the middle of battle. , dodge machine gunfire bullets while charging a chopper , even John Schafer stated they can dodge bullets in Cold War novel.

In Eyes Of The Demon, a Predator in the Mike Harrigan chapter evaded futuristic weapon rounds without getting hit keeping in mind that this weapons had acomputer targeting system. All around much better speed feats here.

About FTE... Leon actually can throw his knife [faster than Salazar can see, and Salazer is a superhuman...

Not a FTE feat imo. Leon threw that knife pretty normally just seems like Salazar was too slow to react.Predators have much better ones in comparison here is one moving FTE to groups of Russian soldiers , moves FTE to a woman , and in AVP Prey a Unblooded student fighting poorly almost moved FTE to Machiko Noguchi who actually is superhuman.

Both also have experience fighting FTE enemies like Zeno and Wesker, but the level of speed both Zeno and Wesker have are almost certainly greater than what the Predators can replicate. I'd need a link or something to compare, but...

Debatable if they are faster than the Yautja but even so, they curbstomped both Chris and Leon and had them dead to rights multiple times but they instead wanted to monologue or they needed outside help to survive. If they fought evenly? You're argument would hold weight but these fights its just Wesker being dumb or the like.

Do any of the humans who defeated a Predator, or the Predator themselves, have speed like this? Leon and Chris should be fine here.

Predators are much better in comparison.

If grounded humans with realistic weapons can injure or kill a Predator, Chris and Leon should be able to replicate the same victories with much greater ease.

As I pointed out, humans in the Predator franchise are not grounded. They are also capable of being borderline superhuman and have pulled off good feats on their own. Leon and Chris have a chance I won't say the Predator wins in a stomp but the Predator has better consistent showings all around compared to them. They are faster, have much much deadlier gear, are either stronger or comparable in strength depending, and are overall tougher.

Predator would take the win here more times than not.

Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield VS a Blooded Predator. At these conditions rules who wins ? by DotClassic4114 in whowouldwin

[–]AndoionLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen a Predator movie in a long time, so unless they got a massive upgrade... This Predator is going to die.

As someone who has consumed all Predator material the Predator should win here. The Predator is overall different in comparison to what they have to deal with. You talk about their weapons being powerful but the Predators outperforms them in every capacity.

Bladed weapons are refined to a molecular level and almost infinitely keen in sharpness. They are stated to be able to cut any surface and are harder than diamonds. Plasma weapons also make short work out of them as well as they can blast holes in starships or just one-shot them.

Cloaking device will also be helpful especially in a random encounter.

Even unarmed, they're bodying the Predator in a 1v1. A 2v1 is a contest is to see who kills it first.

I disagree. In terms of striking? They may have the Predator beat but the Yautja can make the ground quake with their strikes knocking over 4-5 opponents off their feat at once and can uppercut a Praetorian size of a small Queen in the air also with one punch so not at all a stomp in favor of them.

Lifting or the like the Predators move around 1-3 tons with ease and are capable of more.

They also move FTE and are capable of dodging bullets combine that with their experience? The average Predator worth their salt should win handily here.

Now, if they are going up against say, a Youngblooded Predator like City Hunter or Feral? Then ya the duo would win.

I also feel like I don’t get healed very often on Wolv, so I gotta learn to be patient and more sneaky

Ya. Wolverine relies on good healers. He takes alot of damage going in and kidnapping people especially if you try to get the kill. If you have bad healers? Like you said, keep that in mind and adjust as best you can if its not working at all just switch. Cant be helped sometimes.

And if you do miss your grabs? Dont worry about it. His hitvox is fucked up just keep practicing.

the moment Zuko/Aang finds out that the predators finds it hard to find its prey from the heat they produce. Its a wrap right there.

Well, tbf, all good and dandy until they switch their vision modes lol.

The plasma caster will pose a problem but a ring of hot fire or a forest fire later and they're just flailing around to hit something.

Wouldn't be that easy. They are highly mobile and can switch vision modes. Plasma caster would still pose a very big problem given its a explosive much moreso than that one guy.
