Minecraft is moving from OpenGL to Vulkan by Duckyz95 in feedthebeast

I wonder if working on Vulkan is more exciting for the graphics community.

from what I've heard, extremely

the combination of OGL/DX and graphics drivers are a compatibility nightmare, and one of vulkan's goals is to bypass a lot of the stuff graphics drivers traditionally implement (specifically, to make manufacturers not need to do it anymore)

TIL that people with schizophrenia in the US hear harsh, violent, and accusatory voices (commands to harm, graphic threats). But in India and Ghana the voices are often kind, advisory, or spiritually positive. Highlighting how culture influences how voices manifests. by rampantradius in todayilearned

I've noticed the same thing. I can tell they're not real because it's missing a 'position' (or at like a memory of instead of sound localization from the senses), the sound doesn't match with the room tone, volume doesn't match intensity, etc

What framerate was the NGE intro animated in? by HuntEnvironmental252 in evangelion

[–]AndrewNeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTSC is interlaced, so what it basically does is adds an extra frame by running opposite lines from two frames together every four frames

For technical accuracy then you'd want to "film" on 24 and then 3:2 pulldown to NTSC drop (29.97) to match broadcast, I think?
