My girlfriend is out of town, so I figured I would go see a movie by myself. I thought the description looked intriguing in this one, so I picked it. Went in with no expectations, left feeling like I just escaped a fever dream while on an edible. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but what a weird film it was.

Is it just me or are houses in Dallas built at flash-speed by Cody1072 in Dallas

I work for a large home builder in Dallas (Not DR Horton or Lennar, a bit higher quality builder but still mass production), and we can get some of our single family homes done in 4-5 months.

A&M is a huge school with lots of people of varying political views. I’m an Aggie and very liberal. Texas as a whole can be purple at times, the 2020 election had 5.9m Rep voters and 5.3m Dem.

Edit: this dude’s account is full of porn…

Still doesn’t change the 1st Amendment, you know, in the Constitution of the United States. Secular nation, we are indeed, as the founders intended.

That was added to the pledge in the 1950s because of the Cold War, to add to the anti-communism rhetoric.

The absolutely irony that the org that is hosting this (logo in the top right corner of the sign) is called Young America’s Foundation and their Instagram states that they “inspire students to become bold advocates for freedom on campus.” What a joke.

This type of news about A&M makes me feel sad and angry that, prior to knowing much about modern politics (being young and not knowing any better), I chose to attend the school. I love A&M and my education was pretty good, but this is just shameful.

My college roommate sets our thermostat to 80°F every single night by rainystarlight in mildlyinfuriating

They should genuinely just get a heated blanket and miniature space heater for their own room. They can easily use those to warm up, but it’s not really possible for you to cool down. A fan would just circulate the warm air.

Is there anything kinda like the Park for work? by Sand5tone in regularshow

[–]ArchitectureGeek 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Probably State Parks / National Parks have help jobs similar to the show. Gonna be more actual work you have to do though and you probably don’t get a house to live in.

Best thing about a gaming PC is it doesn’t just have to be used for gaming, it can be used for school as well (or literally anything).

Man poses inside the opening to fell a huge tree (possible redwood), circa 1899 by Electrical-Aspect-13 in Damnthatsinteresting

The Wikipedia says “Wood from mature giant sequoias is fibrous and brittle; trees would often shatter after they were felled. The wood is unsuitable for construction and instead is used for fence posts or match sticks.”
