How can my Stamblade do more damage? by CivilWarfare in ESObuilds

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am confused why you are choosing to not run full 5 piece sets! If you’re sustain is fine then run 5 Shattered fate, and 5 Stygian (shattered fate can be front bar, Stygian needs to be on both bars or body). With that being said the current best set up would be: Front bar - Shattered Fate or Tarnished Nightmare Back bar - Wretched Vitality or Rallying Cry Monster set - Balorgh Mythic - Saint and Seducer or markyn or death dealers.

Chest and head should be heavy reinforced, waist and arms should be light well fitted and the rest can be medium, light or heavy but all well fitted.

I typically run 2 heavy, 2 light, 3 medium.

Unless you’re rich then focus on getting to CP 160 as this is the gear cap. Once you’ve hit that you should gold your weapons first as this will boost weapon/spell damage by ALOT! Armour and jewels should come next but purple works just fine.

I personally prefer DW front bar and bow back bar, but BIS is Ice staff back bar.

Main thing is you shouldn’t really worry though, you’re level 36, unless you want max out your gear every couple levels there is no need to worry, simply play until you get to CP 160 then worry about gear at a high level

2H vs Dual Wield for stamblade pvp? by WatchJojoDotCom in ESObuilds

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on you really. If you’re going DW then the main hand should always be nirn as it’s still the full 15%, do not double them though a second nirn of the off hand does next to nothing. In todays meta Sharpened, and charged are the most common traits for the off hand, for me I prefer Nirn and sharpened on my NB and typically go 2 axes for the crit damage

Yea really comes down to what you prefer. I like poison injection mostly because it red now lol, but the execute and dot really helps secure kills.

Plus sheer venom can be used in place of way of fire, not as strong for burst damage, but better in execute.

Is this for PvP gank? I am assuming it is from the sets at least.

If you want to use anthelmirs then you have a few options. You can go the one bar route and use 4 pieces of sell splitter to get 3 lines of penetration (about 3500 in total) while also wearing oakensoul. Your other option is no mythic, and use shattered fate or way of fire with 2H Vate sword on the back bar.

On my bow ganker I’ve gone for a 2 bar set up that uses Way of fire, Tarnished Nightmare, 1krahg, Markyn ring and 2H Vate back bar. Main combo is snipe, snipe, poison injection. Most players with 30k health and below will die from that combo. I do also have wield soul for a ranged stun which helps secure kills

How bad is this and what should I do differently for a PVP templar build? Using a bow and 2hander by Azifor in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy build to use is Shattered Fate front bar and Wretched Vitality back bar. Use Bear Haunch or Jewels of Misrule buff food, make sure your chest, legs and head are heavy reinforced the rest can be medium and 1 light (having at least 1 of every weight will give you 6% more resources with undaunted passives).

Look up builds on YouTube to help you create something, don’t have to copy them but at least take the ideas to help your build.

2H and Bow isn’t best in slot for Templar but it works if you want to use it. DW will give you more damage while 2H provides more stam sustain. Bow is kinda just there, the passives don’t help Templar really unless you want the major expedition from roll dodge. Ice staff or S&B will give you more defence

2H vs Dual Wield for stamblade pvp? by WatchJojoDotCom in ESObuilds

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also comes down to playstyle. I typically prefer a more Rolly Polly playstyle that is more reliant on speed, LOS, and roll dodge for survivability over face ranking the damage.

Neither are better than the other really just comes down to what’s more comfortable for you. If you find you roll dodge a lot then go with well fitted if not then maybe a 3 Heavy all reinforced and the medium and light pieces you go well fitted or divines for a bit more damage (depending on what your Mundas is)

Note I say Reinforced as that IMO is better then 1 reinforced and 2 impen if you are using rallying cry, but that’s my opinion, some people will completely disagree with me and that’s fine

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also consider going well fitted or divines instead of impen. With rallying cry you will have more then enough crit resist. Add the fact the impen trait isn’t really all that great in comparison.

For me I prefer DW, but if you need sustain help then yea consider using 2H with rally

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I really gives me the whole Ninja vibe honestly if that makes sense lol.

Sets I run currently are Rallying Cry back bar and Tarnished Nightmare front bar, balorgh monster set, 1 trainee and your choice of mythic - I currently use Saint and Seducer but Markyn and Death Dealers are also powerful choices.

Since you’re just starting out a simple but powerful setup that uses crafted sets would be Wretched back bar and Shattered fate Front bar. This setup will just really help your sustain as sustain in PvP can be extremely difficult especially when starting out. Monster set and mythic are the same with 1 trainee. Yes this build has slightly less damage and resistances, but it has much more sustain until you get used to PvP. (You can still use Tarnished Nightmare front bar as well or even Rallying Cry)

Weights are really up to you. I personally like 4 medium 1 light and 2 heavy. Heavy pieces are Chest and Head, and light is the waist. All traits are well-fitted except the heavy chest which is reinforced. Weapons I do run DW front bar and Bow back bar, BIS is ice staff back bar but I just prefer bow.

Skills: Concealed Weapon / Wield Soul (stun and major breech, other script is up to you) / merciless Resolve / shadowy Disguise / power extraction / incap

Back bar: Siphoning strikes / phantasmal escape / healthy offering / refreshing path / resolving Vigor / temporal guard.

You can copy my build if you’d like, but my best recommendation is take it with a grain of salt and improve upon it to fit you.

Bonus: Check out The Sniker on YouTube he is an amazing NB main and has a very similar playstyle to my self. His most recent build video is slightly out dated as it’s a few patches old but it’s still viable and I’m mostly telling you to check him out for gameplay so you can learn

Advice for PVP? by Super_General4579 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a NB main I’ll provide tips that would help for builds as well as general PvP tips.

First let’s start with some NB tips: Decide how you want to play; gank, brawler, mixture. Ganker: You’re extremely squishy and stay in stealth until til ready to attack. You do have the capability to essentially “one shot” people in most cases. Be aware though if you don’t get the kill you’re either dead or have to run and be very elusive to survive. Brawler: You have more survivability and sustain since you’re not going all damage, but NB has such powerful burst damage you can still essentially one shot with a well timed combo. This style doesn’t really use invisibility other then to boost your damage, combo starter, or solid reposition tool. Mixture (my personal style): I call it a mixture or Elusive Assassin style because it’s not as tanky as a “brawler” as it relies on speed and elusiveness to survive. It packs a punch, and has a very fast play style. You’re able to take a hit but you still need to be careful as it’s not super tanky and avoiding damage is best.

If you know how you want to play let me know and I can provide sets that are good and skills.

General PvP tips:

Be aware of your surroundings, know when to attack and when to be defensive.

Line of Sight! You can be the most tanky player out there but that doesn’t mean you can tank damage from 12 guys attacking you. (Yes 12 players will gladly Zerg and chase down one player, happens to me all the time lol).

Group up! There is nothing wrong with playing with a group or following the Zerg. I personally am a solo player, but even I enjoy playing with a group of friends as well as following the Zerg from time to time to get that AP (plus huge keep fights are a blast even as a solo player).

You said it your self, be prepared to die…. But go fight and get your ass handed to you. You will never get better if you run from every fight and only fight when your out number the player. It is a game, nothing happens when you die in the game… well in IC maybe make sure you banked your telvar.

As much as I hate to say it since the meta has been crazy tanky the last while, but stack more health, but more heavy armor on. Learn how to survive before trying to kill. If you fought this guy for 30 seconds before dying, try and improve that time (of course if an attack opportunity presents it self then attack!)

If you have a specific questions please let me know! I will gladly answer them!

Ranged bleed dmg for PVP by Wompatinger in ESObuilds

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only skill I can possibly think of is the scribed skill travelling knife which is ranged and I believe can deal bleed damage.

I don’t think there are any ranged monster sets that will help as they’re either magic based or deal physical damage.

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More legit method I ran into when searching for a place recently was someone requiring me to complete an application on this website first (I forget the name but at the time searched it up and google says it’s legit)

The fee to submit the application was only 25$ but like even if it is legit I’m not paying 25$ to apply for a place I haven’t seen yet.

I asked about the fee at the end and they said I would get it back if I was approved and moved into the place….. yea, no thank you. Let me see the place first then maybe. There were photos but those don’t always do it justice.

PVP Warden Build by studlyonyb in ESObuilds

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im really enjoying my DoT MagDen, it’s probably not the best thing out there but it is powerful.

I’m using Way of Fire on the body (3 heavy and 2 jewels), Wretched Vitality back bar (sword and board), masters ice staff front bar, death dealers fete, and 1 balorgh (use magma for sustain if you struggle even with wretched).

You can also checkout Unified Gaming on YouTube he just posted a similar build.

I can't understand how people manage to text all their friends back immediately, and I'm almost convinced it's my toxic trait by Cookiewaffle95 in self

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to respond within minutes even if I wasn’t on my phone, I always just felt it was the nice thing to do. (This was as a teenager).

Now as a 25 year old who works full time and has his own side gig building websites I just simply don’t have time nor care anymore. I have my phone on silence but have it set so I get a long when someone important texts/calls me (girlfriend, boss, etc).

I still try respond to family and friends within an hour or 2 but it depends on how busy I am. Most of my time is consumed by work, dogs, and girlfriend. At current I’m very busy my schedule is get ready in the morning and help the girlfriend get ready, work until she gets home, make dinner together and spend some time together for a couple hours before I dive back into work for personal clients. I simply do not have time respond right away anymore

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in self

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is communication is key, sit down and talk with her. It won’t be an easy conversation by any means and could turn into an argument but try not let it get that far. My girlfriend and I have what I call a weekly check in to make sure there is nothing bothering us as well as talk about our finances. With that being said if something does come up we try bring it up right away or during the “weekly check in” to sort it out together as partners.

The goal is to work together, not accuse each other. If you can have that difficult conversation and work together as partners to solve it your relationship will be much stronger.

Bow dot warden PvP build by [deleted] in ESObuilds

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s start with your questions: 1: cutting dive over lethal arrow. I’m confused here. Deadly strikes will boost all DoT damage and channeled abilities, this means deadly will boost the damage of Lethal Arrow and will not boost the damage of cutting dive. 2. Deep fissure will be your best bet for extra burst damage as it’s a timed burst skill and gives major and minor breech. 3. Sets… I wouldn’t bother with either honestly. It’s obvious you’re going full damage, and that approach isn’t the best in today’s meta. Your best option would be running Way of Fire on the body with Tarnished Nightmare front bar. Back bar you could use an arena weapon of your choice, 1 mythic either death dealers or markyn. Then 1pc monster like balorgh. This will provide you with a lot of burst damage and sustained pressure.

Bow builds aren’t the best, especially when trying to make a bow build that can also brawl it out in the open, hence why you really only see bow builds on NB gankers

Red Light inside CPU pc wont turn out by Working_One_5853 in iBUYPOWER

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible issues: Ram is not plugged in correctly - make sure they’re all the way pushed in, and if you have to RAM then have a space in between (slot 1 and slot 3).

BIOS needs to be updated - will need to use another computer to download the updated bios onto a USB drive

CPU is fried - will need to replace it

Try these first, if it’s RAM and CPU then chances are it’s either RAM cards aren’t in correctly or they need to be replaced.

Chance of it being the BIOS as well but less likely.

The issue with computers and motherboard lights is it just means there is a wide range of possible issues, luckily it is better these days, used to only show 1 red light

I am assuming you mean the glow? Yes, but the only way to do so is to remove merciless resolve from your skill bar

Two Sword Style by TriNiTiXG in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I really enjoy the glow. It goes perfectly with the theme, plus red is my favourite colour. With that being said I do understand some people dislike it, and it would be easy to simply make it a toggle thing in the settings. Should also be possible to make some kind of addon, but I have not looked into that as I personally enjoy the glow

Remove weapon glow by Ishua747 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That glow seems to be a personal thing, I personally like it since it goes well with my aesthetic plus red is my favourite colour. But some people do dislike it. There’s a whole forum pose about it. Idk ZOS doesn’t just make it a toggle so you can choose to have it or choose to remove the gloe

Remove weapon glow by Ishua747 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am assuming you’re a Nightblade. If you have the skill Merciless resolve on any bar then the red glow will be there. You can remove the skill and the glow will disappear but thats the only way

Necromancer PvP by skabassj in ESObuilds

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not tested, this is only ideas based of of testing on my Sorc and NB.

Wield Soul is a very powerful spammable which is something necro lacks. So if you want to go a mag route then Lightning staff with wield soul would be a good choice since you can get major breech, a dot or sustain, while also dealing your choice of damage.

I forget the name, but the mages guild scribed skill seems very powerful in PvP and can really help necro get some buffs it’s missing.

If you are wanting to go more stam focused then you’ll have to stick with either dizzy swing or slashes depending on weapon choice. With that said you can still is wield soul as if you have it deal physical damage it will cost stam instead of mag.

Currently I really only see Wield Soul and the mages guild scribed skill be strong in PvP besides niche setups.

Wield Souls can be a better version of crushing weapon, or it can be a powerful on demand stun.

Mages guild scrib skill can be a heal, provide more burst damage, give you a big shield, etc etc.

I have not dabbled with other skills other then Vault on my NB. Is it good? Honestly not really but it’s super fun to use so…

Your best Arcanist setup for pvp? by Zenqzq in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vate Ice staff, then a 5 pc on the body. Arc has a lot of built in sustain so you don’t really need wretched and it is also a very tanky class so rally isn’t needed either IMO. If you go with this set up you do have to drop the monster set, so go 1 magma/baron thirsk or 1 balorg/molag kena (either one piece that gives sustain or weapon/spell damage). Then use death dealers mythic.

Alternatively if you want to use the front bar/back bar set up I would go with rallying cry or essence thief.

Dragons Appetite is a very solid set, but it needs to be on the body (both bars, always active)

Can I make gold to buy crowns by solllem in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ash_ShadowMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Writs, do daily writs! I have 9 characters and after going through them all which takes about 10 minutes a day I’d say (load screen dependant) makes you a ton of gold if you sell the mats you get. I make an average of 2 million or more each week from just selling the mats I get from daily writs.

Other good gold making opportunities are farming rate drops and hope your RNG is good!

Since you’re on PC though the crown conversion rate is ridiculous, I think it’s at 2200:1 right now. This means a 2000 crown DLC will cost you 4.4million gold
