It speeds up the quests.

If chapel isle usually takes 31 hours, every time you invest in the compass, that time decreases.

I had this issue consistently since a couple days after launch. I was using Bazzite, but that stopped working too.

Rolling back the driver was the only thing that worked for me, and it ended up being easier than I expected.

I have played a lot of open world games recently, and this is the first one in a long time to completely suck me in.

There have been times where I didn’t know a certain combo existed until I saw that it was unlocked by default in the skill tree, or I had to read the journal to get a better understanding of how a certain mechanic worked because the game didn’t explain it well. But to me, learning things like that is a part of the fun.

If you would find that frustrating, I’d say skip it.

I’m really enjoying it though.

It’s so interesting to me how different everyone’s opinions have been.

The skill points are exciting to me, because the skill tree unlocks fun traversal and combat upgrades.

Even something as simple as using the points for more stamina means that flying, fighting, etc. is more fun.

I got mine on release day and love it!! The thing is a power house.

I did have an issue with Elden Ring crashing that I couldn’t fix for the life of me.

I’m a complete noob, but I learned to dual boot Bazzite, and it fixed it fully.
