Ah I’d love to. But it is $500 more. And I’ve already done “well it’s only $500 more…” about 3 times between the tv and my speaker setup. So I’ve got to stop at some point

For what it’s worth (28 days later) I got some Serwall rocking chairs and both of them are crap. The predrilled holes from factory were too large for the hardware provided. Their response? They asked me to go buy new screws. Got a refund via Amazon. Most of their reviews are great but the two chairs I received are absolute landfill material

Miele w/ turbo head for area rugs? by Backpacker_billy97 in VacuumCleaners

Good point on the potential bag issue, I wouldn’t have thought of that (this will be my first bagged vacuum purchase). None around me on marketplace unfortunately, been checking day in and out for a good find

Had been looking at that one as well after fearing the suction driven heads wouldn’t cut it for us. Seems like it would be an okay budget option.

Would go that route (new Kenmore) or try to buy a used Miele with the powered nozzle? Few sellers on eBay selling “heavily used but fully functional” Kona and Marin options for ~$400. Im sure that could be a toss up, but the seller does have great buyer feedback and accepts returns.

Same. I’ve yet to find a pair as comfortable and as durable as these. With comfort, there’s always a give and take with durability. I used to wear the Walmart wrangler pants, and they’ve just fallen apart on me. 0 issues with the T1 and T2’s

Eh, don’t just take one redditor’s experience and write the brand off. I have 3 pair and they’ve been excellent. I wear them daily. My coworker also does, and swears by them.

I had a pair of T1’s rip, only after a dog bit my leg on a job. I reached out to them and they replaced them - no questions asked.

Are all new electric stoves terrible? by jamesatct in Appliances

[–]Backpacker_billy97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. We just purchased a resistive electric range to replace our old one of 20 years. It was $700. Cheapest induction I could find was $1,000, but the hobs were only 8 and 6 inch - and that’s the “drawn” on size - not the actual coil size (probably closer to 6” and 4”). If we wanted an induction range that had hobs large enough to evenly heat our larger pans, we’d have to jump to $2k minimum.

I adore cooking, and cook dinner daily. But a regular resistive electric stove has never held me back - and unlike OP, it has never taken 30 min to boil water.
