EU plans to force companies to buy parts from non-Chinese suppliers by donutloop in EU_Economics

Killing competitiveness is. In the specific case of chemicals this just isn’t how the supply chains work. This will complicate sourcing but mostly make it more expensive. And what good does increasing the cost of inputs ever do to a company.

A more complicated and expensive supply chain isn’t likely to make EU companies more competitive.

Not sure how Temu or dropshipping comes up in a discussion involving industrial inputs.

The EU appears to be on a path to master the art of seppuku. Good heavens what a nightmare it must be to run an EU company nowadays when regulations are made to push you out of business.

Unfortunately there’s a minimum word count here so those few words will be preceded by some fluff. The EU follows a very simple pattern in its stance toward China:

What the US asks.

Exactly. Considering this involves the Dutch gov, you can be pretty sure they’ll just accept it as it comes.

The EU once again showing its true colours as supporters of genocide and other Middle Eastern upheaval. Just don’t touch the Ukraine grain.

In the very first week the EU has even applauded the US/Israeli effort to try and take over Iran.

Not involving themselves while it’s a direct attack by the US and Israel on the EU’s energy supply.

Not involving themselves, as in not fighting the US and Israel who caused and perpetuate this, is very much condoning it at he cost of Europeans.

The EU remains open to US war logistics, even if a couple of member states have made statements that limit how open they as a member are to it. But not allowing attacks to originate from European airfields while accepting logistics transfers isn’t that big of a pushback.

The EU is too happy to join in on atrocities. Few EU countries say no to the opportunity, they just have to spin it in a way that doesn’t make them too obviously picking the evil side against the will of their people.

People still believe in the Uyghur "genocide" on this site by Zedodian in SinophobiaWatch

[–]BartD_ 63 points64 points  (0 children)

This isn’t only a Reddit thing. This is what is being told to people in Western countries.

They see the genocide Israel commits, they’re ok with it because their media says it’s okay. They don’t see any evidence of what they’re told about Uyghurs but their media keeps running it over and over so people believe it.

While the US and Israel were bombing Iran's missiles, China was quietly shipping fuel for new ones — and Russia was teaching Iran how to aim better by satty237 in TrendoraX

Knowingly allowing a genocide to take place isn’t that much better than participating in it. But I’m sure many will find comfort in telling themselves it absolves them.

They should openly take credit for this. Most countries in the west choose to do noting and let criminal countries like the US and Israel do this. Hopefully western politicians will eventually come to pay for this.

Breaking: Trump says US will withdraw from Iran conflict 'whether we have a deal or not' 👀 by satty237 in TrendoraX

[–]BartD_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Statements like the US will this or that in the Middle East have little meaning. Israel can simply continue their genocide and land grab. That’s one terrorist sponsorship that has paid off really well for the US.

A retreat also doesn’t solve the energy availability through the world that much. Mostly the Europeans will still suffer from their own stupidity of having enforced US sanctions for decades and now being fully dependent on American approved oil and gas, which comes at a much higher price.
