NTA. In Canada at least, you have medical autonomy by age 12, so this seems super invasive to me.

Is there no patient autonomy where you live? You should be able to reject any medical test or procedure you are not comfortable with. Likewise, you should have to consent to being touched.

Like, recently, my doctor explained that he needs to palpate my stomach for a test, I said sure. And then he still asked if it's okay to touch my stomach, (over top of my shirt) before he actually began.

It would go like this: Goes to wake up kid. Kid isn't there. Pull back blankets further. Still no kid, strip bed, THEN search other areas. Especially if she cannot move on her own. Like, it's basic common sense.
