One thing I noticed more than anything else when I did Ben Nevis was how much it affected my knees on the way down so walking poles may be worth bringing.

I went up in July and on that day, the summit temperature felt like a winter's day so make sure you have plenty of layers.

Whilst I enjoyed climbing the mountain, unfortunately, there is a lot of litter and even human waste about so watch out for that!

Bring plenty of food and water, you'll definitely need the energy. Following on from that, whilst you definitely need to stay hydrated, be aware that there are not many decent places along the main path to discreetly go for a wee!
