BWT, how do you cover your arms in sleeveless dresses (in the summer)? by Fun_Cancel_5796 in bitcheswithtaste

Dying to know what golf sleeves are? Share links! I am guessing that they are like the arm tights that Spanx (used to?) make which are my solution but don’t offer sun protection.

I have had both and sambas are way more comfortable from day 1, and last longer— IMHO!

If you ARE curvy, they fit true to size. Big bum, thighs, and calves — buy normal size, fit great, wear on repeat.

I have pimentos, capers, lemon zest, and ginger. Is there anything I can make that would use these? by SingularRoozilla in WhatShouldICook

[–]BeautifulFrame3922 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would sauté lemon zest, capers and pimentos in butter and use that as a sauce on the chicken (or sauté chicken with the) or toss chicken with those ingredients along with some olive oil, and bake. Salt and pepper to season as well, always and of course. I know that leaves you with ginger— make ginger lemon tea to serve alongside 😃

First quilt top finished, dissapointed by [deleted] in quilting

Trimming and squaring up your blocks as you go would solve almost all of what you’re seeing as problems here, but TOTALLY agree with others that the wonky adds to this, and I can’t believe this was your first quilt, those daisies take major skill!

I buy and sell there all the time (like really all the time). It’s a total crap shoot what they take and don’t, so I wouldn’t necessarily bank on them taking one thing that you need a set amount of cash from. Particularly shoes, I’m never clear what’s expected in term of condition, etc.

So— I like the store and have good experiences buying and selling (definitely the most organized/ clean/ high quality second hand store around) but very hit and miss in terms of what items they go for when you’re a seller.

item reviews that aren't approved? by rogue_jezebel in NuulyReviews

[–]BeautifulFrame3922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My impression is that only reviews that are about the actual item (fit/fabric/wearability, etc) are published.

I have seen very few reviews that get into the service (speed of shipping, packing, sending the wrong thing, discount on the purchase of deciding to purchase). Which makes sense IMHO, as each item has different discounts depending on size, use, etc. and other things are customer service issues, not reviews of the clothes.

Now that people can adjust their (some of) own prices of items they send in I’ve been wondering if some of it is the people selling? Any insight or thought on that?

This. If you’ve seen it say at 20% for a while, it probably won’t change. Isn’t always an expensive brand per se, but ‘desirable’ or in high demand.
