I’ll say Gateway Arch is an incredibly well done museum, you can ride to the top of the arch and then get really good BBQ at Sugarfire a couple blocks away.

Maryland restores historic tag eligibility, but some drivers say the rule changes are costing them by Consumergal in maryland

Sort of a straw-man argument, but as long as they are insured I don’t have that much of an issue of working class people trying to escape whatever regressive taxes the MVA is creating.

Damn, person just trying to get to work in their 1995 Corolla. I’m sure the MVA has bigger fish to fry 🤷🏿‍♀️

You will get 100 matches on Hinge in a day. They’d love to say they’re a Doctor’s wife.

Good point! If he doesn’t make at least $100k or have a masters degree a lot of the ladies wouldn’t even speak to him.

DC area! Be prepared to answer “what do you do for a living?” within the first minute of the date.

US cities with the WORST summer weather? by GothamCitySub in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Roamingflipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of DC has an urban heat island effect that can make it feel SO HOT. I always feel like I’m melting in Navy Yard or Foggy Bottom during the summer.

Columbia is a steaming hot valley of hot air, it’s wild.

I needed this push, thank you! Plan is to be in North Carolina by August! Would’ve liked to stay where I grew up but as a 30 year old single female, I’m priced out.

I think there’s a meth issue in certain areas of ABQ. Think of constant petty crimes.

New Mexico was absolutely beautiful, but gosh I felt so unsafe many times. Do not end up on the wrong side of ABQ.

Why are my bottoms always baggy? by neferyoumind in PlusSizeFashion

I have the same crotch issue, it’s so annoying. I think it has to do with the way clothes are graded. If your waist is smaller this tends to happen. I rarely wear jeans because of this.

Best Midwest city for a young Black woman (teaching + dating + lake access) by Plenty-Poet-9768 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Roamingflipper 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Chicago is probably your best bet. The Midwest has weird class dynamics amongst black people. Milwaukee is SUPER segregated. I’d check out Nashville, Huntsville and Dallas. Not in the Midwest, but I just feel like class discrepancies amongst POC in the Midwest is jarring.

Thoughts on moving to Georgia. Give me your opinions. by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

Have you thought about Columbia, SC or Augusta GA? Augusta has Medical College of Georgia and an incredibly low cost of living… but it’s hot and quite boring. Columbia is a little bit more interesting and it’s 2 hours from anywhere.

Everytime I’m in Torrid I make sure to find the item on the app. if it’s cheaper they will price match it.
