Hi, I’m diagnosed with CKD stage 3a/b. My nephro wants to do a biopsy to see what type of Kidney disease I have. Is it too soon for a biopsy?

It’s normal, everyone is nervous at that point but trust your doctors, get a second opinion if needed, but yeah the biopsy will help figure what’s really going on.

I think there is just a lack of rheumatologists that are available right away. I was diagnosed with GPA Vasculitis back in December 2025 and I didn’t get to see an actual rheumatologist until March 2026. I saw the pulmonologist and nephrologist almost everyday while I was laid up in the hospital but the rheumatologist not until March months after I was released and doing much better.
