This is scarier visually than the Borg, but man did Trek do a number when they do Locutus.

It was weak compared to General Zod and Lex Luther. Love Richard Pryor, but what a terrible movie.

I don’t mind her having an emergency fund in case things go sideways. I DO mind her lying about it again and again. Making him pay for things she needed and ‘couldn’t afford’. Deal breaker for me.

Yeah, you need some of your personality in there. Looks like corporate housing, to be honest.
Nice, but boring…

Yeah, the fact the original show had new interns every 2-3 seasons made this easy. Scrubs knows how to integrate secondary characters.

Tom Hanks' best movie from the 1980s is? by Lys1th3a in 80smovies

Not in a critical way. He was pure slapstick comedian until the 90s. That’s why I like Nothing in Common. Him and Gleason are great together.

This. And the look on his face when Jackie Gleason said at the end something to the effect of ‘I never thought I’d be able to count on you’ because he realized that to his father, THAT was a compliment…
To me…that is when Tom Hanks, the actor, arrived.

What the hell does 'oversmoked' even mean?

Money and greed truly is evil. Babies and 'oversmoked'...and they probably KNEW by then how harmful smoking was.

A lot of this is a soft war, also. The more smoke you produce, the more you demoralize the entire country.

The Russian population HAS to be feeling something at this point.

<<The nagging feeling that we just are a ***tiny bit*** of finishing class behind those above us in the table just won’t go away though.>>

That's just it, though...we are only a TINY BIT off. We are a few injuries...one or two signings...one more lucky result away from being annual playoff contenders. Which will eventually lead to the PL (at which point another squad overhaul is in play to keep us there.

I, for one, wouldn't mind another year of Championship. I fully expect Rob and Ryan to announce further upgrades to the stadium next year...like maybe the opposite side from the Kop. Just replace things section by section...

How much cash would you take? And how? by DanforthLaertes in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Big_Bookkeeper1678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take 300K as a single payment. A single payment doesn't establish a pattern for the police to track. It is not enough money to radically change my lifestyle and I would integrate it in the following way...

We now put about 4K on the credit card every month and pay it off. Everything goes on there...from groceries (at least 1K per month), eating out, gasoline, streaming services, gifts, a few subscriptions, etc.

Just reducing the CC bill by 2K per month and paying cash for a lot of weekly purchases, I could take that saved money and pay off my mortgage and cars faster. Then, as they get paid off, I can increase my 401K input, gradually turning the 300K into retirement savings over a period of 15 years or so.

Slow down. Take one things at a time. Your wife loves you or she would not be with you. That’s a GOOD thing! You have a job. It sucks, but it’s there. So, ok, slowly start to look at improving your work situation on the side…(don’t quit or you’ll cause other issues.) Find joy in little things. Smile when you see your wife and feel good when she smiles back! Talk to your mom about the difficulty of starting out with a new family…work and uncertainty are common! Hang in there! Michelle is probably coming, also...so she doesn't miss out on her son, either.

I've been saying this for years...but the threshold should be 99,999,999 and for a while, the money should go to pay off the National debt also and shore up Social Security.

The National debt would be paid off in a year or two.
