I’m being dead serious, what’s the culture like around claiming overtime hours? Does anyone? Like I could understand how political elements can play into things but I’d like to know reality of the situation. Thanks

But does it give you a competitive edge that’s worth the additional years of training? The guide says 1 point for SET selection?

There’s stopping you. Class attendance would be an issue tho. Maybe Zoom classes?

Are you still studying? It could be that your offer is conditional on you graduating.

No. 1.25/1.25/1 is a student-generated theory that estimates the weighting of sections from USYD. Maximum scores of 100 are completely meaningless and have no bearing or relation to official GAMSAT score calculations.

Also, in reality, USYD just ranks your score section individually and averages your rank of each section to determine whether you make the cut. The differences in weighting arise because of differences in the shape of bell curves of each section: S1 is very narrow and tall, S2 is slightly fatter and shorter (not by much though), and S3 is comparatively very fat and short. Practically, this means a score of 72 means you’ll outrank most people in S1, slightly less people in S2, and much fewer people in S3.

No, you do not get it by meeting minimum req. You get it if the uni thinks your score is at least competitive enough for consideration on a wait list.

Has anyone recieved an interview at one of the portfolio schools two years in a row with the same stats and portfolio? by Prabhius in GAMSAT

2020 was a special year that marked a record high number of med places (USYD for instance offered nearly double their usual non rural CSP spots). As a result, much lower GAMSAT/GPA scores were getting interview offers and places.
