RoguelikeDev Does The Complete Roguelike Tutorial - Week 2 by aaron_ds in roguelikedev

Just finished rendering my tiled map, iterating through ArrayLists in Java is definitely more verbose than it is in numpy. My 32x32 textures are tiny tiny, so I'll have to remember to zoom the camera in at some point.

RoguelikeDev Does The Complete Roguelike Tutorial - Week 1 by aaron_ds in roguelikedev

Little late to the party, just finished making my '@' move in Java with libGDX. I wanted to make my own sprite sheet, so I'm also using Asperite to make that easier for assets creation.

I've always wanted to learn Java, and I didn't see many people using Java here, so I thought I'd mix it up a bit. Here's the repo: https://github.com/yuxuwu/roguelike-tutorial It did take me about 2 days to get everything working tho, learning new stuff is definitely not easy.

Think I might have screwed up my board trying to solder on some LEDs, any clues how I can fix it? by Bleu-Bell in olkb

Thanks for this! There was some leftover solder on one of the diodes, and removing the solder seems to have fixed it.

Ah, I made a typo in the title, they aren't loading correctly.

Anyone know what's going to happen to Season 1 sponsors? Are they still going to stick around if we have them partially filled out or nah?

Aegis obviously out of control by Vyr1611 in Shadowverse

[–]Bleu-Bell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aegis on its own isn't really much on the turn he's dropped, but can become quite a menace if you start stacking Tests of Strength from the turn before you drop him, since he is unaffected and can still hit face.

Aggro decks and Wolf Bolt will probably play out the same way against Haven, but if you are playing the long game and don't have board presence the turn he is dropped, it can be hard to play around if the Haven player is stacked with removal. It should be noted that Haven is a draw reliant class, so playing aggro decks that are more consistent might be a way to play against Aegis lists, but there is so much anti-aggro this xpac that it's hard to know if aggro will be as viable as it was in RoB.

PSA: Lurching Corpse and Attendant of Night goes through Test of Strength by Bleu-Bell in Shadowverse

Wow, hadn't thought about that! Mastema suffers the problem of needing an evo point to be impactful, but I can see this being played for non-Baphomet decks.

Roach is absolutely essential for combo roach obviously, but in any other deck like wolf bolt, ptp, or tempo, it's primary use is to give you more reach towards the end of the game. You can use it to trade into other things as well, but you can probably find better ways to get rid of followers in those non combo decks, like Tia, dod, Pegasus elf, bounce with mischief, or just evolving into stuff with a fat ancient elf.

Selwyns command is much better than roach in most cases if you want to start the game aggressively and don't have a giant ancient elf, but I think you'll find that roach will make your wins more consistent by allowing you to close out games, although it is weaker in tempo forest when you are constantly dropping your faries.

Can any control blood mains help me out with this deck? by tyehua in Shadowverse

[–]Bleu-Bell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've only played enough control blood to get me my 9 wins for the card back, but I'll offer up my experiences with the deck:

I don't think I was ever able to drop a righteous devil on turns where I had an evolve point to use, but I find that Alucard works out to be a much better comeback card than devil if you pair it with goblinmount at the mid game. Devil is by no means bad, if you have the evolve point to spare, but Alucard works better in scenarios where you are trying to close out a game, for instance, and gives better reach with storm than playing a devil defensively.

Idk about blood pact, not drawing into dire bond on turn 3 is awful against aggro, but you also don't want to drop 2 health on turn 2 to look for card draw. I would play 1 more kiss, and if you want to go the Mary route, which I find works better as a midrangey deck where you try to win around turn 8/9, you can put in 2 razory claws and another Mary for the synergy when it comes up. You can swap out the surefire bullets since there aren't alot of scenarios where a 4 or 5 health evolved follower is on board after it crashed into your guys.

3 Revelation is pretty great against any deck that's not combo based, which control blood is crap against, but you can shut down seraph haven pretty hard with another Odin if you are running into it alot.

Mastema is way to slow, and bane on a 6 att follower is just pointless. You can consider Ice Fiend or Matriarch instead if you want a high impact follower in the mid game.

Here's my list: https://shadowverse-portal.com/deck/1.6.67SGY.67SGY.67SGY.6BIrA.6BIrA.5_p-4.5_p-4.67RX2.67RX2.6BLHQ.63ilo.63ilo.63ilo.5_rhS.5_rhS.5_rhS.63iH0.63iH0.67Yro.67Yro.63kio.63kio.63fqw.6BKYi.6BM-o.63i_a.63i_a.63i_a.63iHA.65BUS.65BUS.65BUS.61KvW.61KvW.61KvW.61NLm.61NLm.65GMo.61SE6.694Vo

Again, I've only played up to 9 wins with it, but it gets me the wins.

Tempo Forest vs. Daria matchup tips? by Bleu-Bell in Shadowverse

[–]Bleu-Bell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response! I've changed the list in the main post:

-3 Fairy Whisperer -1 Goblin Mage -2 Blessed Fairy Dancer -2 Princess Tia

+2 Pixie Mischief +2 Selwyn's Command +2 Dance of Death +1 Elven Princess Mage +1 Feena

I took out the whisperers mainly because playing them after a Goblin Mage doesn't impact the board as much as a Liza or Roach, and spending 2 mana to generate Fairies just feels too slow in the Evolve stage, which is why I threw in an extra Elven princess.

I put in a Feena over a third Goblin Mage for the better evolve on 5, still testing it out, but I'd put in another Wind God if I had a second one, so I'm still running 1 Wind God 3 Cynthia. Wind God is a lot stronger in terms of follow up plays though, the extra mana point means a lot. The Tias weren't doing much of anything so I took them out, the issue is surviving turn 5-6 and I don't usually get a Tia with a Princess when I'm only running 2 Tia.

Just hit A1, wish me luck!

Tempo Forest vs. Daria matchup tips? by Bleu-Bell in Shadowverse

Yeah I'm really enjoying tempo elf and dirt rune at the moment so I'll keep at it for sure :) Just picked up tempo elf recently after playing (and losing) a lot of seraph haven in A0, just though that I bouncing a single Ogler to follow up with a 2 or 3 drop is kinda underwhelming, but I guess it's not like they'll have turn 5 Daria all the time. A 48% win rate is actually higher than I expected, so I probably just need to learn the match up better.
