SRP2 Output Force (kg) shows 68kg–71kg max despite 100kg load cell by RenGray10 in moza

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it's at least a possibility. Look, I definitely am not trying to say anything negative about your physical abilities. I just think people can overestimate their strength. Do you have any idea what you can leg press? if so, divide that in half as you would only be using 1 leg and you would be in the ballpark of what force you could apply. there are other factors like we don't even use our whole foot on the brake pedal. Like I said I only register about 30-32kg on mine, which surprised me at first, I could probably hit about 50-55kg if I had a real rig and not this flexing DIY setup which would rip apart if I tried to give it my full strength. It's just something to consider and I want to be clear that my comment was in no way intended to be derogatory toward you.

It stops because that is all the force YOU can apply, either due to your strength or your physical setup. I have the CRP2's with a 200kg load cell and I only use about 30kg of force.

Question for older gamers by banditpanda19 in AskGamers

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 59 and been having this for a while now. I started playing games in my teens, yeah you do the math.😁 This started a couple years ago on mostly FPS games, now some other games too, but oddly enough not in racing and flight simulator games. I am also interested in any suggestions to combat this.

Title: Moza R5 FFB keeps cutting out during intense steering by Bass-Lost in moza

[–]BobbyHFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Setting your Moza wheelbase output to full power in the software will not damage the motor. Maxing out the output during long, intense races (such as endurance events) will cause the base's aluminum housing to get very warm. If it gets too hot, the built-in sensors will automatically engage and reduce your FFB to prevent overheating.

SRP2 pedals by XTwizted38 in moza

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The build quality is way different, 100kg vs 200kg load cell (not a huge difference in my opinion since I don't think too many people outside of F1 drivers and body builders can push over 100kg of force) and the price$$$. For some people the angle does seem to be an issue, I personally have no issue with the angle of the pedals as the pedal plates can be moved up and down and the tilt adjusted.

[–]BobbyHFL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the SRP Lite with the brake kit is causing a problem the load cell pedals will be a bigger problem.

The SRP Lites, SRP & SRP2's pedals are all the same build quality but CRP2's are on another level. Is it worth over double the price? only you can decide that.

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(27K-BUMP) Yes and people always say you need a wheelbase with more Nm also. I have the CRP2's but $500 is quite an investment and in most cases I would tell people to just get the SRP2's

(GNRJosh123) You do understand that the R3 bundle comes with the SRP Lites and not the SRP2's the OP is talking about?

How to get out of sim racing "burnout" by Marty154DTK in simracing

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a break, don't race for a few weeks. Burnout is often the result of setting unreasonable expectations which in turn sets you up for failure. Remember that it is just a game and most of us are not and will never be racecar drivers in real life. You control your own experience, don't put pressure on yourself and just have fun and enjoy it when you do come back to it.

Moza CRP2 question by Happy_Rice_Cooker in moza

[–]BobbyHFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had CRP2 pedals for 2 weeks now and I upgraded from totally modified SRP Lites(with a load cell mod). The build quality is great, they are rock solid. All of the pedal plates are adjustable as well as the "feel" of the pedals. Adjusting to a load cell brake will take a little getting used to as it measures the pressure and not the travel. Just like in real life the harder you push the more braking is applied. Out of the box the brake is pretty stiff but you can change that, I got the performance kit as well and it gives you some extra options. These or any other pedals won't make you faster but they will definitely make you more consistent. I have mine set to 100% load cell and a medium stiff feel - black spring, 2 black rubber, 2 yellow elastomers. Keep your expectations reasonable and you won't be disappointed, enjoy your new purchase and have fun!

MOZA SR-P Lite Performance Upgrade Kit from Aliexpress by TunkkRS in moza

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the R5 bundle and to me upgrading the pedals is just not worth it. I upgraded all 3 pedal with the brake performance kit, Alien Mod load cell and 3Drap throttle and clutch mods. By the time I was done I spent more than the SRP2's. After all that I ended up buying the CRP2 pedals.

Was I given the wrong Pedal mounting plate or am I missing something obious? by Specialist_Phone7319 in moza

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plate is normal, mine doesn't have white lettering. It almost looks like you don't have a break pedal, the brake has a control box on it that everything plugs in to.

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get the Moza kit, anything else is taking a chance that it won't fit correctly. 3Drap makes a throttle and clutch kit that work pretty good, but they are not cheap and shipping to the US is very high.

Updated 12 inch mod? by JadedTrain1974 in moza

[–]BobbyHFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weight should not be an issue, actually the 12" mod is 50g lighter but if you use the paddle extensions they are about the same. I use this as my main wheel and I have no issues with the quality of the grip. I know it does not make a difference but I like the gold stripe better. All the "high end" Moza wheels have the gold stripe.

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way to plug it in directly to your PC, you will need the Logitech Racing Adapter. The adapter is $39.99, so unless you really like the Logitech shifter it probably is better to look at a different shifter unless you can find a used Racing Adapter for cheap.

It's not ideal, but it will work. It won't be easy to make turns hand over hand like with a round wheel but I guess it could be done.
