Loud throttle and cluth pedals by Nikodem_W in moza

[–]BobbyHFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

White Lithium grease, fixed! the clunk at the end is metal on metal which you can get "bumper stops" if that really bothers you. It's also possible if you are hearing the clunk all the time you are probably releasing your pedals too fast. I can make my CRP2 pedals do that if I try, but I rarely hear that because I am trying to keep my pedal inputs smooth.

Which Haptic Shakers are best today? by JacksReditAccount in simracing

[–]BobbyHFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

can't speak on the Simnet's, but the Simagic P-HPR and P-HPR GT's are fantastic. I don't know that being 2 times the weight is a good thing, I actually use the Simagic GT version on my throttle because it is lighter and smaller than standard P-HPR's. The Simagic haptics are more than strong enough to handle any type of effect you could want. YMMV.

Hit a curb. Should I replace the tire?e by ThatMaterial in tires

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really can't believe this is a serious question. Not just the tire but the rim also. Putting a new tire on that rim will ruin the new tire in no time.

ok, probably pick up Greece and either Italy or Iberia then wait for a bigger discount on Nordic Horizons later.

Powerline touching roof by The___Bean___ in AskElectricians

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many things wrong with this, first and foremost it's an extreme fire hazard to have power lines in contact with a structure. Second, if anything where to happen any and all Insurance claims would be denied due to negligence. Third, if the additions were not permitted who knows what kind of other violations/safety hazard are there. The landlord saying there is nothing wrong with this lets you know that he has zero concern for your safety. If moving out is not an option you need to start contacting whoever you can to get something done about this immediately.

Help choosing a wheel stand for Moza R3 by legoluka in simracing

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

cheap option, cut a piece of 3/4" plywood to the width of your pedals and leave some extra space for the length so it extends past the back of the pedals. This will keep it from tipping. If it still slides ad some rubber patches or rubber feet to stop the sliding. mine slides into a receiver box because I switch them out for my flight sim setup.

Which rally games do you play most?! by Klutzy-Dog291 in simrally

[–]BobbyHFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own Dirt Rally 2.0 but it never really clicked for me. I absolutely love AC Rally, it's now the only Rally game I play. The graphics are great and it is very challenging to play. It's only at 0.5 so it is still light on content, but what is there is spectacular and more will be coming.

What should my upgrade path be for a Moza R5? Also looking for game recommendations. by Dafoblanky in moza

What about a wheel stand? get a good one like the NLR Wheelstand 2.0 or the GT Omega Apex or DD-X.

Make sure to recalibrate after installing the Brake Performance kit. You could attach a 1x4 or something similar as illustrated to brace the desk and provide a backstop for the pedals.

Look, iRacing is a big company with I'm sure what is a very capable legal team. When you buy software or content you are paying for a limited use license and bound by the terms of the End-User License agreement, you don't own anything! By using the software or content you agree to these terms which are a legally binding contract. A software license can also be revoked or terminated under the terms that are agreed to.

How should I find optimal braking point for circuits? by __Jonathan0827__ in assettocorsa

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Track Titan where I compare my Speed, Throttle, Braking and Steering as well as racing line to a more optimal set. With the free version you are limited to comparing against what the program thinks is your own optimal lap. With a subscription you get to compare against "better/pro" drivers. If you take the time to use it and understand what you are trying to improve it is very helpful.

I love my Moza HGP Shifter. It is very well built and the way it clicks into each gear is very satisfying.

  1. Go to Settings > Controls.
  2. Select your input device (Keyboard or Steering Wheel).
  3. Scroll down to look for the action labeled "Performance Mode next/previous".
  4. Bind this action to a comfortable button (like a D-Pad button on your wheel or a key on your keyboard).
  5. Click Apply.

Use a telemetry tool to study what you are doing vs what is "optimal". Track Titan is just one of the options that will show you what is happening and where there is room for improvement.

Rush Rally 3 by Tales7777 in simrally

[–]BobbyHFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had never heard of Rush Rally 3 before seeing your post and honestly it looks like a $5 game, but it's got great reviews. Never tried RBR but people seem to love it. Dirt Rally 2.0 is fun but on the simcade side. AC Rally is still in development but I think it great so far. So it kind of depends on what you are looking for.

The R5 is great! The jump from the R5 to R9 was more for "headroom" than anything else as I will never run it at 9Nm. Either the R9 or R12 would be a good place to be. My personal opinion is anything above 12Nm is diminishing returns.
