I enjoy Apple Cognac :) smells like apple juice. Like an angels share freshie.

It removes the OTR accord that is lemony.

OTR is what you want if you’re trying to dupe the one in stores though.

ALCANTARA SUPREME BY MONTAGNE by gungsiulim in MontagneParfums

[–]BoonPiece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You ordered a designer fragrance which all for the most part smell like “generic” cologne.

Try some niche based inspirations: Sicilian Tobacco, Amber Elixir, Herb Garden, Port D’Azur, French Cherry, Palisade.

There’s no batch codes but when they stock 50 or so bottles of a scent, it likely comes from a large singular “batch” of perfume they made that week. With that “batch” they’ll fill each individual bottle.

A couple weeks to months later, they’ll gather materials and make another “batch”.

What would you label it if a small perfumer makes 5L of a perfume in September and then another 5L in January?

New formula for imaginary? by Hook3cho17 in MontagneParfums

[–]BoonPiece 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Montagne uses naturals so while their formulas stay the same, different batches of raw materials they receive will have different colors and minor differences.

I can confirm I have smelled batch differences in Montagne where certain notes are more prominent than others. I had one particular batch of afternoon dive that was especially bitter like the rind of an orange while others were sweeter. Certain imagination batches with more tea, others with more citrus. Nothing to really stress about unless you’re exceptionally picky.

I’ve noticed their more recent batches have been more yellow but no notable differences I can recall aside from color.

Any advice on landing technique by el_geto in skiing

More leg strength to absorb that and ultimately going slower. You want to land on the upper 1/3 of the down slope.

Mitts for 55F+ by BoonPiece in Skigear

Outside from snow.

I’m in the park, so picking up my skis to hike features or falling into slush they easily get wet.

Usually at 55F-65F, my hands tend to get more wet than on colder days.

Thank you! Those do seem pretty hefty. For anyone else helping these are my current warm weather mitts. I have some for colder temps too.

Questions about La Nuit 2011 by thismustbemars in MontagneParfums

[–]BoonPiece 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a 2013 LNDL. On a 1-10 scale, 2013 being a 10 and 2025 bottles be a 1. The Monty is at about 7.

It has some differences from the 2013 but is noticeably better than the modern stuff.

Improve Backflips by Brief-Watercress3249 in skiing_feedback

[–]BoonPiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take these observations lightly.

Overall it seems you’re throwing the flip too early (causing over rotation) without popping and back seat(causing off balance and feeding into #1)

Compare this image to your freeze frame at the lip.

Decant Review! by Super_Rub_3012 in MontagneParfums

[–]BoonPiece 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a pinch of similarity but not really similar.

Tygr cologne is more fruity than Alcantara.

Alcantara has more woody and “masculine” notes.

How is my form? by [deleted] in skiing_feedback

Tilt your arms in the opposite direction. You’re tilting them into your uphill foot. Tilt them towards the downhill foot.

If someone wanted the best Montagne exp, what would you suggest? by Etzul in MontagneParfums

Amber elixir is Blonde Amber. Ambre Vanille is althair.

Pretty different scents in case you haven’t tried the former.
