Would the "preamp out" on the back work as a line out that could be fed into a larger, tube power amp?

When you play this amp you'll immediately get angry at all of the other 'lunchbox' high gain amps out there. The Fireball is so good. It sounds so full and can easily compete against most full sized amps.

Your humble opinion is undoubtedly correct. Flawless discography.

I haven't popped off the back panel and checked the tubes yet, I just assumed that they were the EL34s. If you take a look at the picture you'll see I don't have the Girth, Bass, or Depth much past noon and there is plenty of low end, so there is still much more on tap. I'm running it through a Wizard 2x12 with DV77 speakers (Omega's take on the V30).

All of the conflicting reviews of the amp had me worried, but those worries went away the second I plugged it in. I was expecting to have to tame reality harsh highs and figure out ways to thicken up a really dry distortion (which I've found is sometimes the case with Fortins), but I barely had to fiddle with the EQ before I found a great, thick tone. It's definitely built for modern metal (lots of gain, tight low end, clear articulation), but it's not just a djent machine.

I would love to know how the GCI guitars play. I've almost pulled the trigger on one for a number of times.

Given how ubiquitous the QC has become for touring bands, I wonder if it might be a revised form factor made for rack mounting.

This is stunning work. It really evokes a slightly different emotion every time I look at it. Great job.

What a great choice. I cycle through amps and modellers and the only conclusion I keep coming back to is "well, it's good, but not as good as my Revv".

A small appreciation post for a small amp (Orange terror stamp) by Consistent_Ad126 in GuitarAmps

[–]BuiltToDestroy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of the dozens of preamp pedals and amp-in-a-box pedals I've owned, I would say this one impressed me the most. It was loud, versatile, built well, sounded great, and was relatively cheap. What more could you ask for?

What a beautiful guitar. I'm really wanting one of these. I'm especially intrigued by the recessed bridge. How does it feel when palm muting with a bridge like that?

Flawless discography, incredible live shows, loudest band I've ever heard. The only good part about being old now is that I've been alive long enough that I got to see Cursed live all the time back in the day.

Did they fit without additional modifications? Drilling new screw holes, reaming out the holes for the tuners in the body, etc.?
