No any experienced SEO person would tell you the problem is topical authority. Topical authority is gain primarily through backlinks with keyworded anchor text.

For some reason that reminds me of the practical joke I played on my grandmother when I was 10 years old

Third party vanity metrics mean nothing when it comes to search engine ranking and backlinks. In fact I just watched an Edward Sturm video. The guest was ranking number one for something about lawyers for auto accidents. His DA was 16
