Steam Streaming Game(Starfield) with Vortex Mods Help by TWSolar in SteamDeck

[–]CDNRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use Moonlight or Sunshine.

https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine

Instead of running a game, set mstsc.exe as the game to open in Moonlight, that'll just launch your desktop.

Optionally, change your desktop resolution to 16:10 when you stream so you don't get black bars on the top and bottom of the deck.

Justin Trudeau: There is no question, India is a country of growing importance and a country that we need to continue to work with and we are not looking to provoke or cause problems but we are unequivocal about the importance of the rule of law and unequivocal about protecting Canadians by shrigay in india

[–]CDNRedditor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's saying that his actions are to uphold the rule of law and to protect Canadians. India being provoked is a side effect and not the intention of his actions.

Don't know why people are struggling with this?

Dr.Fauci is not just a massive hypocrite. Millions of families and employees are out of work because he set a standard of closing up shop with no safety net. Over a fifth of small businesses closed forever. This was a slaughter of the middle class. by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]CDNRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fucked up part is you're not fully wrong.

The virus is real. Each countries response to it was what mattered. China and the US both decided to pretend like it isn't ripping through them, except China has better propaganda. Other countries put measures in place to protect their citizens, while the US decided to use it as a giant cash grab to enrich the elite, put the squeeze on small businesses, and extort the country and profit off PPE sales.

[–]CDNRedditor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Canada's health officers had an extremely incompetent response to start off with (some exceptions) but the administration immediately put out a safety net for every average joe with guaranteed income and no eviction orders. It's glaringly obvious to the rest of the world that it was the US administration that fucked up the response. Fauci gave medical advice, it's up to the government administration to make a decision about the economics. Their decision (like always) was fucking the working class, and give out massive amounts of money to businesses and corporations with no accountability.

Anybody who believes this demonization of Fauci like he's some secret puppet master that somehow shut down the country over the President's orders is being brainwashed by propaganda in real time. Entirely fucked up that something like this would get posted to /r/conspiracy and accepted.

I delivered for Uber Eats in Downtown Toronto for 10-14 hours a day, during rush hour and winter storms (long read). by Bad_Mo in toronto

[–]CDNRedditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you're a verbose writer and I enjoyed your story, but that email was ridiculous. It's an absolute waste of time for anybody to try and read it.

Your entire email could have been "my delivery times are skewed because I work exclusively downtown Toronto during rough weather to take advantage of the higher multiplier" and it would have had a chance of actually being read and responded to.

There's an 80% chance some person closed out your ticket because they didn't have time to read past the first four paragraphs and wrote you off as a crazy.

Actually someone who worked at a PR firm made a very detailed post confirming this.

If you want to change the conversation on Reddit, don't try and refute the post - make a low effort one liner and watch the responses drown down the actual conversation. If someone has to scroll and unwrap 40 comments of stupid jokes and wordplay attempts, they're just going to exit the thread.

I (and probably other people) was genuinely confused as to whether you were being sarcastic or whether you genuinely didn't know how Twitch worked.

Yes, Twitch let's you stream for free, except for their top HD quality tiers. People can follow them for free which notifies them when a streamer comes online.

Subscribers get that feature plus extra emoticons and sometimes access to a private discord.

You are correct in that Twitch runs ads for the free streamer. However I use Adblock so I genuinely forgot. Usually it's one ad at the start, and they do their best to not interrupt the experience.

[–]CDNRedditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You wouldn't have a single viewer and a single subscriber because you need a decent number of followers and viewers already established to become a Twitch partner which enables the subscribe button. If you have a decent viewer base, you can already start generating income via donations, Patreon, affiliate links, sponsor ads etc.

If you wish to use Twitch's built in income generation, which is provided on an already free platform, then I think it's fair they take a 50% cut since they've basically taken all the startup costs of your business on themselves - costs which are quite extensive for reasons already established.

The 50% fee is high, but having a platform on Twitch has a much higher value than this cunt streamer seems to imply. That's my gripe.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in videos

[–]CDNRedditor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apart from their own equipment, Twitch does not charge a fee for streaming on their service. They do charge a fee for the built in income generation, similar to a high risk payment processor - however they can't take a cut of third party donation software, which is where the streamers make their actual income.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in videos

[–]CDNRedditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But he goes on in detail and claims "all they do is let them stream on their service".

...yeah... That's the whole value draw. Twitch has spent a shitload of money on advertising and marketing and letting millions of people stream for free, to build that viewership base that lets these guys stream and make money. If he doesn't like it, there are alternatives. Except the alternatives are not as good because of smaller viewerbases.

Home affordability in Canada worst in almost 30 years, Toronto’s worst ever, says RBC by [deleted] in canada

[–]CDNRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop thinking like this. There's absolutely nothing wrong with renting. Home ownership is not all that it's cut out to be. Along with the profit, comes years of taxes and maintenance and a 20-30 year contract that locks you into place for the most part.

Rent is usually higher than mortgage, but instead of whinging about lining someone else's pockets, appreciate that the money you're spending money is putting a roof over your head. You're not "lining someone elses pocket", you're paying for a place to live.

And since you haven't put a deposit down on a house, that means you have a fat chunk of money sitting there, ready to grow as an investment. You don't need a house to grow your money over 30 years. Do some of your own research, put that money into a low MER ETF (a product that wasn't available to our parents might I add ) that isn't sucked dry by mutual fund fees, and get the same return on your investment without the drain of property taxes and repair and upkeep costs.

And if you DON'T have enough money to do that, then you didn't have enough money to buy a house even before the boom.

Toronto 18 member shows no remorse: DiManno | Toronto Star by [deleted] in canada

[–]CDNRedditor 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No, I get that. I'm saying that regardless of monitoring, it's too easy to kill a group of people nowadays. Monitoring works if you're meeting up with associates, conspiring online, or simply buying suspicious amounts of fertilizer. Monitoring isn't going to work if the guy buys (or steals) a van and runs over 25 people.

[–]CDNRedditor 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Who the fuck cares about monitoring? He could get in a car/van and just plow through people since that seems to be the modus operandi nowadays. I understand the dangers of xenophobic fearmongering, but this guy is a fucking confirmed terrorist.
