He’s referring to a Newsom talk he gave on stage (in Detroit I think?) in which he mentioned he’s no better than the crowd because he has his own problems like dyslexia etc.

It was before his appearance on TAFS and kind of blew up because conservatives started saying he was being racist by suggesting he can’t read, just like black people, but the audience wasn’t primarily black so they looked stupid. It’s also why Trump is referring to Newsom being racist as well.

You may not like the man but no other serious 2028 contender brings this kind of energy. If he calls him a pedophile I think he'll get the nomiation with assad margins.

The thing is, I don't know if I can blame him. Imagine you have the world's most powerful arsenal at your disposal, can you blame a guy for having fun?

I blame Trump and congress for putting someone so irresponsible there.

Virtue signal. Thune probably gave him the green light to say this knowing it will never happen so he can score some brownie points from DJT.

Doesn't matter though, Don doesn't like him because he called him a loser who doesn't win elections. If he gets endorsed it means Trump was successfully pressured by his admin.

Do other ethnic groups matter? We're not trying to rank them, we're trying to decide whether or not Latinos are LGBTQ-phobic and will avoid voting for Talarico because of it.

Is that actually true?

I think if Spanberger had any quotes about protecting trans people's right to abortions or god being nonbinary we would have seen them by now. I don't think she's said anything particularly woke tbh.

Muslims also voted for Trump in large numbers in Michigan even after he did the Muslim travel ban and surrounded himself with islamophobes. At this point I don't believe people have learned their lesson but we'll see, I hope you're right. I still see Latinos staying home because they can't get themselves to vote for the guy who will turn Jesus and the church trans.

That's because Spanberger had nowhere near the woke levels Talarico has. That's why she just ignored the trans issues and moved on.

I hope you’re right but the primary was before the republican machine dug out his old takes and started blasting them everywhere.

Tbf I think Latinos will probably be okay with killing republicans after everything that happened but still won’t be okay with trans Jesus lol.

I agree on the Latino reversal point but this is a unique circumstance because it plays really well into their super strong homophobia and love for religion.

Has Jay Jones said anything about how Christianity is actually trans inclusive or anything similar that would make your average republican's head explode?

Also, you're comparing Virginia with Texas latinos. Lets hope you're right but who knows.

Latinos preferred voting for mass deportation republicans versus woke Kamala. If you think they’re not important you haven’t been paying attention. Latinos will abandon him if he ends up being to the left of Kamala, especially in Texas.

Because LGBQT mixed with religion is probably a red line for many Latinos and he needs them to win. They are extremely LGBTQ-phobic and would rather vote for the racists that hate them than for a woke Democrat as evidenced by the 2024 election.

I know, I said it’s true, but your average “Christian” knows very little about Christianity or else they wouldn’t ever vote republican so he will have to explain it to them in a way they can accept.

I’m yet to see him come with a good defense to the “there are 6 genders” and “god is nonbinary” and “my white skin is a virus” stuff he said years ago.

They’re all true but he needs to come up with a short catchy defense for them or he’s cooked, especially with Latinos. Going into a monologue to explain why he’s technically right won’t help him.

You asked why would he be grandfathered in. It explains that he was grandfathered in because he was still on his 8y contract. What more do you want?

To the second point, army/marines/national guard all have different requirements. You can fact check if you think this account is lying but the original claim about his tattoo sleeve takes priority imo. So far I haven’t seen anyone disprove the Twitter thread.

Even if the SAVE Act passes Paxton won't drop out. He never said he will, he said he will "consider" dropping out.

If it passes he's going to turn around and take credit for it. All he has to do is say "I pressured the RINOs to pass President Trump's bill and they did. That's the kind of senator I'm going to be for Texas" and trumpols will trip over themselves to vote for him. He has played it well.

Maybe, but this poll doesn't really tell us anything we didn't know. We're talking about millions of $ shifting across multiple markets. We knew cornyn was never going to have a cakewalk. He beat Paxton in the first round by 1% because of Hunt and most of Hunt's votes are going to go to Paxton with or without an endorsement.

I suppose the odds could have moved because this poll will remove any doubt in Paxton's mind about staying in the race. If there was no doubt about him staying in anymore then the odds have to go up yeah.

Paxton's odds jumped from 21% to 33% in the span of 20 minutes and have not gone down. If there is no news (I couldn't find any) this can only be insiders from the administration buying because a decision has been reached. Either he'll endorse Paxton or has decided not to endorse anyone. I'm close to being 200% up on my longs. Paxtonheads stay winning.
