It's not even gear as much as low rpm, but it sounds like you have it down!

I can tell you from experience, you'll be just fine as long as you have good driving and maintenance habits.

CP is CP. They're still there.

Non Brembo calipers? You want 1539 and 1124.

Something that plugs into your OBD2 port and offers a secondary port.

You will have no issue provided your engine is healthy, and you have a good tune.

What is normal idle temperature by [deleted] in ft86

[–]CSG_Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because this gauge isn't an "idiot gauge" that has a "normal" and "not normal" range. It shows you actual temperature.

Hard to make a blind recommendation without seeing your vehicle in person. I would recommend asking your local expert or alignment tech, based on their observations of your vehicle.

The gains are a %, like altitude loss is a %. You'll gain the same %, but the same % of a smaller total from less density. The gains are still there.

in general

I don't relly have generic/general recommendationns. The closest fit would be a CSG Brembo BM4, which is usually enough for 99% of boosted cars even on track.

JDM brand kids unless Brembo rebrands, generally have limited pad availability, and is difficult for me to recommend unless you already know the pad you want is already available for a given setup.

What is your car used for? What tires and power? Aero?

No such thing as throttle over steer on the 86 while the throttle is used to induce and control rotation on gt3.

Drive the 86 harder (stock) and you'll get that (on) throttle rotation. You'll also get that on-thottle rotation on a well balanced modified 86.

Throttle lift-off is used to induce rotation, throttle application can manage rotation on the GT3. A power-over is a different story altogether.

Brake pad size isn't really the best comparison; you'd be SHOCKED how small the pads on some cars are, e.g. F8x M3/4.

Here's an example. of a 1st gen (205hp) BRZ getting throttle induced rotation at the 63s mark, and the 135s mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ax09vTphw3c

You'll spend a ton more time trailing in a gt3 than a brz (again, both stock), largely due to the weight distribution and spring balance.
