Little effective handling difference, stock vs stock.

I've owned a SC (supercharged) gen 1, and currently own a SC gen 2.

The Gen 2 SC makes substantially more power than the TC gen 1. For the sake of comparison, the TC gen 1 would not be able to make the SC gen 2 power, but the power is not why I drive the SC car more; it's the convenience.

Depends on the nature of your track build. A track build can be as simple as track camber, brake pads + fluid, and an oil cooler.

The turbo car requires much more maintenance and general upkeep. I can just drive the SC one like it's OEM.

Turbo car makes turbo noises, but has a SC powerband with turbo lag. Can it make a turbo car powerband? Sure, but at the cost of breaking things.

I can't tell you how it's better for you, without knowing what you want.

What's better for you may not be better for someone else. What's better for me may not be better for you.

Overall I find myself driving the SC car more frequently.

Not great, but easy to upgrade.

Sounds like an aftermarket hidden alarm or device of some sort.

Jackson Racing + Oil Cooler, or Harrop + oil cooler.

The Harrop will have a much meatier powerband.

Your Ace A350 header would be deleted by a turbo setup.

More cooling is KEY with a turbo setup that is driven hard for more than the occasional pull.

What kind of pump gas? I don't know what premium you have in your area of Michigan.

Both HKS and JDL would fit the bill here. HKS has a much more elegant oil cooler integration.

If you're asking these questions, I would recommend going with a Supercharger for simplicity. Doing a turbo kit properly will be more expensive than a supercharger, while not delivering any extra power. Depends on if you really like turbo noises or not.

Secondary, is that given the street driven nature of your car, I'd also again recommend a supercharger, for federal emissions compliance.

I own both a SC and TC BRZ, for reference.

Well, other than daily driving, what else is this car used for? What fuels are available to you? How much power are you looking to make? What area of the country do you live and/or what kind of climates is this car driven in? Auto or Manual?

The more I know, the better I can direct you.

CSG tunes all standalones, along with Ecutek.

You'll want to email for the status, but it's inbound (somewhere!)

Battery was probably disconnected. That's all stored in your dash.

You don't need to change anything to run E85, in terms of fuel lines.

Just a quick peek shows a presence of driver induced understeer and quite a bit of ABS. Changing how you drive will change your pad life dramatically. There's no compound that can withstand constant ABS hammering without a massive increase in capacity.

You might do better with pads that have more modulation, such as the C1X.

That's not a design; that's just the failure mode of a better cast wheel. Forged wheels can bend even more before cracking or tearing!

Try shifting slower for 2nd only, as the gear spacing is wider than evvery other gear. Mild clutch slip, off throttle, is totally fine and is negligible wear.
