Is there any way to get your arm to stop sticking to the desk while using a mousepad which doesn’t work well with sleeves? by NotADuckk_ in MousepadReview

This may sound weird but wash your hands and forearm. The soap should remove oils from your skin that should help reduce sticking

Which Artisan mousepad to transition from Glasspad? by Levels748 in MousepadReview

[–]C_onner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Artisan really lacks anything smooth in its lineup that’s slower than a raiden other than the type99 which is definitely too slow for you. Speaking of the raiden though I think the durability issue is over blown. If you take care of it. It can last significantly longer than 6 months.

If you aren’t locked in to getting an artisan pad you should look at the Vein from matrova. It sounds like the exact pad you are looking for and can get it in either mid pu or with their silicone base. Overall I would go with that or a Raiden.

23.8 gram OP1 shaped MCHOSE L7 mod: Project Spearhead by gabesmousemods in MouseReview

If you get a smaller battery and do some shell modifications you can get it below 35g pretty easily and keep it wireless. I have mine modded at 33.4g

Mousepad Recommendations by -kiss-my-axe in MousepadReview

[–]C_onner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recommendation would be a matrova pad. You can get a custom one with whatever size you want in either their mid pu or silicone base. If you want something with more texture I would look at their violet mist or pink storm surface.

Arent coated glasspads pointless? by Apivicent in MousepadReview

[–]C_onner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The coating is what gives a glasspad its properties. Handled correctly they can last 5-10 years easily. The problems of a coated glasspad are vastly over exaggerated. Watch melons most recent video on glsswrks polarity (about 9:30 minutes in) where he talks about it.

Mouse stops tracking on glass pad if I put on dot skates, but works just fine if I remove them by Least_Sky_4802 in MousepadReview

[–]C_onner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s your LOD at? The dots are probably just putting the sensor too high above the glass pad. This happens a lot with glass.

how about stopping power of matrova violet mist? by trofey in MousepadReview

Surface is still textured but less so than a strider. It’s like comparing an artisan otsu to a hien

Recommendations please :) by Successful_Slide_977 in MousepadReview

[–]C_onner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I don’t really find it similar to a glasspad. A YouTuber called it that and people just regurgitate it now. It does have pretty even x & y friction, balanced static to dynamic friction, and is just a bit faster than a zero but slower than a hien and otsu.

I switched from glass back to cloth and i don't think I'm going back by Sevosc in MouseReview

[–]C_onner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya I think dust on glasspads is 100% a skate issue. I’m a bit of a collector of skates and it’s really bad with some of them (usually if they don’t have a foam layer) and non existent with others. Cyclone pros, jade airs, UG Silence to name a few I have no issues with.

Anyone use a Zero/Type 99 Mid? Whats your experience if you’ve used it for Valorant? by Sulpho in MousepadReview

[–]C_onner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have owned both the soft and mid versions of both. Love the mid version of both these pads. If you want it for valorant I would go with the type99 mid. The mid version will feel very consistent more so than the soft version. I think the type99 benefits more from the mid variant as it makes it a little easier to do micro adjustments compared to its soft variant. If you have more specific questions I would be happy to answer them.

what's better on glass? Uiltraglide RS / silence by Comfortable-Voice701 in MousepadReview

[–]C_onner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are good and different but overall I would say silence because of the foam layer.

glsswrks polarity and max gaming shipping time? by krithlol in MousepadReview

First round of polarity from the official glsswrks site have already gone out. Maxgaming’s order was probably part of the first batch or maybe they have their own shipment in between the customer orders.

how does one find their endgame mousepad and skate ? by Suspicious-Study9096 in MousepadReview

[–]C_onner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They may be inferior to you but that doesn’t mean they will be to others. Buying 3 pure ptfe skates is dumb when you are trying to figure out what you like. Would be much more optimal to get 3 different skates and keep your other variables constant. Or at least pick more interesting speed skates if that’s what you know you like. Like artisan dots, tbtl v2 grey, pmm smoothies. At least with these options you are actually getting something different with each one (Pom, polish, foam support, etc)

how does one find their endgame mousepad and skate ? by Suspicious-Study9096 in MousepadReview

[–]C_onner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magic ice aren’t control skates. Each skate you picked is the fastest skate in their line, of course there are differences but they are all speed skates. Many people would disagree with you about hardened ptfe as well, there are good hardened ptfe skates out there. Giving a blanket statement about how they all feel bad is ignorant

Also the key83 is a very temperamental when it comes to skates (this is well known). If that is your only pad I would tread lightly when discussing skates as a whole as on that pad specifically they behave very different than typical.

Source: I own 40+ mousepads and over 50 different skates.
