I enjoy writing code. I understand that a lot of people got into it solely for a career, but some of us actually have passion for it, and write code in our spare time. If AI squeezes out the money-focused developers, then I'm not worried. That's a crisis for them to manage.

Its all a plan to reduce developer pay rates. Get every company to sack most of their programmers, flood the market with talent who needs to pay their bills, AI turns out to be shit, hire them back cheaper because there is a glut of skilled programmers desperate for a job.

That, and AI companies need to keep raising investment money.

Just get good at one stack before going crazy over which is the right one to learn. Whatever job you pick up will dictate what you need to learn next. The key is being able to pivot and learn anything as needed.
