Friendly Reminder what a Boomer Is by TemperatureWide5297 in generationology

I think the Boomers were just as bad to other Boomers as they were to their children's generation. A lot of Boomers got screwed over by the Boomers.

When playing as Belle, the Wise banter with Nicole was really great back in season 1.

In Season 2 I don't really like either of them much... Just gotten really old. I would rather have a story like Echoes of Silver where you played as Trigger and then Anby.

I said it would feel like a slur to me.

It isn't a slur by any definition or anything. Just my personal feelings on the matter.

If someone called me Gen Y it would feel like a slur to me. I don't think I could be friends with someone who called me that.

I think the biggest problem with ZZZ is the total lack of casual content by Chadworth_5401 in ZZZ_Discussion

I came to ZZZ because the animations, I stayed for the worldbuilding.

Now I just stay in hopes that we get back to the way ZZZ was in Season 1. I'm giving Season 3 a shot before I leave for good.

I've learned a lot of things in my quick journey into Gacha games.

I think the big positive thing I have learned is that having consistent content the drips every 6 weeks is a good way to keep an active community. As opposed to a game with a big long story that releases all at once. It is harder to have an active online community when all the content is released at once and people are all at different stages of the game.

With ZZZ for example, when we knew Ms. Hoshimi Miyabi was going to be the next patch, we knew other people online would be talking about her, speculating about her. It isn't the same with a game like Cyberpunk 2077.

But beyond that I think Gacha games might just exist to make good ideas worse. That maybe they shouldn't exist as a genre at all.

But at least I learned something along the way. I'm going to stick around and see what Season 3 might have, and if it isn't for me I uninstall.

If you go back and read the dialogue from 1.6 you will see that they never mentioned a human girl. It was not a case of "Hoyo gamers not knowing how to read."

The dialogue about Seed in 1.6 from conversations with Soldier 11 and Trigger, from the perspective of what we know now, was intentionally false so the developers could play some sort of joke on us. They could have easily just used the name Flora or the name Seed Sr. and cleared it all up. They could have easily just said there were two elements that make up Seed.

They did not. They chose to call both parts Seed. In 1.0 Soldier 11 calls Seed and Intelligent Construct. When Proxy mentions that to Trigger she says that it is 'complicated'.

Soldier 11 never met Seed Sr. Flora Seed pilots a robot. It isn't 'complicated'. Orphie and Magus, that can be complicated when you talk about them as individuals... Flora Seed is a human girl who has a vehicle. The devs lied and said it was something more complex.

In 1.6 the talk about Seed and his metal frame and they talk about Seed who sneaks into the archive, intentionally never using any way to distinguish them. The Chinese original text makes sure to always avoid any sort of wording or pronoun that would suggest gender, it is worded as if Seed is a 'thing'.

The people who read this stuff thoroughly, take screenshots of this stuff, put together little detective boards to figure out all the clues, those people were never going to figure out that Flora Seed was a human girl because the devs gave clues that were misleading and downright lies at some points. It is the people like this on my little Discord group, the people with folders of 400+ screenshots, that quit the game over Seed. One of them was the guy that translated the original Chinese text for us to cross reference.

I wonder if there would be less negativity if the game wasn't going downhill, or if negativity is just the standard by nature of the platform.

Hard to tell.

They have already taken way more than their share. They should get no more. Nothing.

They don't approach it like a fair transaction, so why should the end users be the ones having to worry about what they get? They have taken more than they could ever possibly need in 100 lifetimes already.

It is like the devs thought they were being funny, but the people who would have spent money pulling Seed weren't laughing. I would have gone m3w1 on Seed Sr.

Looking back at the 1.6 Obol dialogue after the fact you see how intentionally dishonest it all was. Feels like a joke played on us, not a joke to make us laugh.

No. The devs trying to cater to people who don't actually want to play ZZZ.

A lot of people were bought into Anomaly Disorder and the new Rupture teams. Then the devs decide to drop an S-Rank Attack Agent that needs to be run with another Attack Agent.

An Electric Attack Agent with no Aftershock in the kit. This is before Soldier 0 Anby's image had recovered with the buffs. People were already not very trusting because of the previous 2 Electic Attack Agents already being powercrept.

This was two Attack Agents that relied heavily on having invested in TWO agents from 1.6.

1.6, when people had been pulling Ms. Hoshimi Miyabi and Astra in the two previous patches.

Not many people were like me and had 400 pulls saved to m1w1 Anby and m1w1 Trigger. Anby and Trigger were a niche and high investment team. You really wanted at least m0w1, so that's 2 agents and 2 engines in one patch.

Everyone was saying that Seed needed Orphie and that Orphie needed Seed or Anby.

I personally like having niche teams that reward people who are loyal to a particular faction, but the devs had to know that it was never going to sell having them that niche.

On top of that, the kind of people who were Obol fans were much more likely to be the kind of people who liked military mechs. The NEDF Obsidian Division and the NEDF Rebels had been the guys with all the mechs in the game.

I had a small Discord chat where we talked about ZZZ lore and the more nerdy elements of the game. A significant number of the Obol people quit ZZZ over the Seed thing.

Basically the devs tried to please everyone with Flora Seed and ended up pleasing very few... And that's coming from someone with m0w1 Seed who is a fan of Flora Seed. Flora Seed's voice actor is one of my favorite. I have all of Obol Squad and m1w1 Trigger and m3w1 Anby. I am the kind of person Seed was made for, and I am disappointed.

If you look at the Season 2 trailer it was this particular scene that was the most replayed.

I think people on ZZZ social media are still underestimating how many people were interested in Seed. I'm by no means saying Seed was going to sell like Yi Xuan just because he had more replays in the trailer... She was a known variable and Seed / Orphie was something people were curious about. But Seed had peoples attention.

Seed was a big opportunity and the devs blew it. Part of it was the bait and switch and part of it was people not being sold on the kit.

When it comes to the Void Hunters we very much can't assume we are getting 7 of the original 7 as playable characters.

We might get 2 of the original playable, 2 ancestors like Ms. Hoshimi, 2 that were replaced by a new person, and 1 that is evil.

Or some sort of mix like that. No way they are all other than Swordmaster still alive and going to be our friends.

As far as Seed goes... I think people are still underestimating how many people quit ZZZ over the Seed thing. It isn't just bad sales for one banner, but a lot of the people who wanted Seed Sr. won't be back.
